We all know that our lives influence others, but are we intentionally investing in others? We have been (and are being) transformed by God. God has a plan for His people to build each other up and invest in each other's faith.

Influencing others doesn’t happen accidentally—it happens intentionally. This especially applies to parents and grandparents as they attempt to lead their children and grandchildren to follow Christ.

Everyone experiences “terrible, horrible, no good, very bad” seasons in life, and God desires for us to help others through those difficult times. One way you can do that is by being loyal, expressing how loyal God has been to you in tough situations.

Countless people have influenced our lives--shaping our habits, personality, skills and spiritual formation. If it hadn't been for those men and women, who knows where we would be! Fortunately, God uses the influence of people in our spiritual journey to make us more like Jesus Himself.

The New Testament book of Titus is just 3 short chapters in length. But within the final chapter, there is a powerful and challenging description of what the life of a Christ follower SHOULD look like.

Jesus came to earth 2,000 years ago, and we look forward to the day when He returns. What will that day be like? When will it take place? What do we do in the meantime?

At the end of the book of Joshua, the people of God renewed their covenant with Him. Joshua challenged them to "choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve...but as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD." Where have you not yielded yourself to the LORD? Be committed to a God who has committed to you.

Near the end of the book, Joshua gave a "farewell" address to the people of Israel. In that speech, he cautioned them to "be careful" to obey God's Word and faithfully follow after him.

In the middle of the book of Joshua, there is a story of the faithfulness of one man, Caleb. He was one of only 2 people still alive from the generation that first spied out the land. At the age of 85, he didn't hesitate to trust in God, saying, "Give me this hill country that the Lord promised me that day..."

The middle chapters of the book of Joshua recount the conquests of the people of Israel as they took the land that God had promised them. We too have been given promises from God, but that doesn't mean we can wait around for God to act. He is looking for a courageous, tenacious people of action who will obediently carry out His will.
