Psalm 34 is a poem about the greatness, the goodness, and the sovereignty God. Yet, it was written by David in a time when he was fleeing for His life. David could write such words because he knew that God is sovereign; that His ways and His plans go beyond our understanding. Are you trusting the sovereignty of God in your life?

Once a year we take a day to recognize and honor the mothers in our lives...and it is good to do this. However, when Jesus was confronted about His own mother, He pointed people to a higher purpose. Don't let the world's expectations, stigma, or views cause you to neglect the highest purpose to which God has called you.

Death is a scary topic, but it is one that we all must face. Many people fear it because of the element of the unknown. But those who are in Christ can have assurance of the promise of life beyond death with Christ.

Crosses are everywhere: clothing, jewelry, body art, churches, paintings and home decor. What is so special about the Cross? Many people view the Cross differently than it was perceived in the 1st Century, but what happened at the Cross changes not only the course of human history, but our lives as well.

Everyone places their hope in something or someone. But that can be dangerous, and leaves us disappointed. Easter is a celebration of the true hope of the world—Jesus Christ. On Easter Sunday, we invite you to experience the hope that never disappoints; the hope that only comes from Jesus Christ.

This week we wrap up the Get in the Game series by taking a look at what discipleship at Summit Church can and should look like. We have all been recipients of the gospel, but it cannot end there...we must become participants in the gospel!

You are a disciple of Jesus. You can lead people to follow Jesus. Let's do this together!

Jesus modeled discipleship for us by equipping His disciples for ministry. But He also demonstrated an amazing love for the people He ministered to. He taught them, but he also cared for their needs, healed the sick, fed the masses, and ultimately gave His life for them.

This week, we take a break from the "Get in the Game" series to look at the TRUE greatness of Jesus Christ.

Nobody wins a game without a good game plan. It's true in sports and it's true in discipleship. If we are going to be successful at leading people to follow Jesus, we need a strategic plan. That, along with the work of God's Holy Spirit, will get the job done.

If our faith begins and ends with attending a weekly church service, then we are merely spectators. If we are really in the game of Christianity, we are called to be disciple-makers, just like Jesus. Are you making disciples?
