Peter was one of Jesus' closest disciples. He wore his heart on his sleeve, and often confessed undying commitment to Jesus with one breath, and in the next breath, messed it all up. Yet Jesus called him a "Rock." Many of us have heard this wisdom from Peter, but if you are human like us, we need to hear it again.

"Who is this man that even the winds and the waves obey Him?" That was the response of the disciples after Jesus calmed the storm with only His words. Do you have faith in Jesus' ability to calm your storms?

Actions speak louder than words. How can we DO what we DO for the love of God?

Words are important. Words are powerful. How do we love and honor God with our words? God desires to reveal Himself to the world through the words of those who worship Him.

Feelings enable us to experience life and connect with others, but unchecked emotions can lead us astray. Loving God involves loving him with our emotions—what we feel not only about Jesus, but about others, ourselves and the situations around us.

We are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, strength and mind. Our heads are filled with all kinds of thoughts throughout the day, so what does it look like to love God with our thoughts?

This past week marked the anniversary of Roe v. Wade. On that day this year, abortion laws became even more lenient in one of our states. While the issue of abortion and the sanctity of life may not be a popular topic, we believe it is an important one for the church to address. We turn to scripture to see what God has to say about human life.
