The enemy feeds us lies about sin, constantly telling us that we don’t sin that much, or that our sin isn’t that bad, or that we cannot live in constant victory over sin. The only way to combat these lies is to uncover the truth about sin and respond accordingly.

This Sunday we began a new teaching series called, "Lies the Enemy Wants Us to Believe," focusing on the lies and misconceptions in our faith that come from the enemy. We all encounter lies about ourselves, forgiveness, sin, and the church. To combat each of these lies, God offers a powerful truth that empowers us to live free from the enemy's grasp.

We all know the story of Jesus. We've heard it time and time again. But do we really KNOW Jesus? Of all the stories of the Bible, he had the greatest exploits of all. But perhaps His greatest exploit is not yet recorded...and perhaps He has chosen to accomplish it through you!

"Great Exploits" continues as we look at the life of Esther. Discover how God’s uses an orphan girl to accomplish His will...and be inspired by how He plans to accomplish great exploits in your life too.

God calls every Christian to “great exploits,” but many times we hesitate. Yet, God wants to increase our dependency on Him.How does God respond to our hesitation? Does He get angry or mad? No, he shows divine patience.

Every follower of Jesus is equipped to do “great exploits" for God. But sometimes Christians feel inadequate, unworthy, unusable, not smart enough, not skilled enough, and not spiritual enough.

Yet God desires to do great and mighty things in and through those who admit their shortcomings and depend on His Spirit.

This week we are looking at the life of Deborah. This woman was both a judge and a prophet. She led with confidence and courage because she knew her God. Come discover what she did and how her life impacts yours.

The stories of the heroes of the Old Testament are many times taken for granted. Perhaps we heard them as kids, or perhaps we hear names like David and Daniel as characters in fable-like stories.

But these historical men and women of the Bible carried out Great Exploits for the God they served. This series shares their stories, and shows us how we can learn from their faith and apply it to our future.

Paul concludes with a reminder that God’s presence has been felt in Rome, even among earthly royalty. But in his final words he affirms that Jesus’ presence is needed for the journey ahead, because life won’t get any easier. The human spirit cannot make it without the abiding presence of the King.

Paul begins concluding his letter by recognizing the generosity he has received from the church in Philippi. God’s provision through generosity of others is a reflection of the sacrifice of Christ. It refreshes and encourages. God will not forget the generosity of the church.
