Everyone has character, but the real question is this: “Do you have character worth following?” Even in a society that is confused about gender, equality, and relationships, character leaves an indelible mark on public opinion. Character counts.

Compassion is a an often overlooked aspect of influencing people for the sake of Christ. Our ultimate example of leading with compassion is from the Ultimate Leader. Jesus gives us a glimpse into the compassionate character of the Father. As followers of Christ, we are to clothe ourselves, including our leadership, with compassion.

If a leader is not equipped and skilled in his or her area, it may not just be difficult to lead, it may be impossible. Competency is crucial when leading others.

Leading is tough work. And anyone who has tried it for long knows that leading WELL is even more difficult. In order to for your influence to have an eternal impact, you have to lead with both soul and skill. Regardless of your experience with your own mother, we honor our mothers today, ask God to bless them, and look for ways that we can support the moms in our families and our church.

In the final week of the "Game of Life Series," we return to one of Jesus' most familiar parables...the prodigal son.

In the story, the man had one wayward son who left him. And though this story ends well, many parents in our church have wayward children who have not yet returned home.

How do we show love and support for our children who may be far from us? How does our church show support for parents who are in this place?

Divorce can be a very impacting thing. It effects husbands and wives, children, extended family and friends. What does God have to say about divorce, and as Christ Followers, how do we approach the issue with grace and love?

One of the cards dealt to us during The Game of Life forces us to deal with the fact that we are all getting older. We have a choice, however, in who we become as we deal with aging. Scripture gives us a guide to be able to grow old graciously.

On Saturday, April 21, over 200 women gathered at Summit Church for a formal afternoon tea. The tea featured refreshments, entertainment, and a message from guest speaker, Janet Aucoin. Janet talked about the common problem of unmet expectations, and how shift our perspective when they happen, because God is really the only one who can and should fulfill us.
