The prophecies contained in the minor prophets have unfolded right before our very eyes. And these fulfilled prophecies help bolster our faith for the few that are left. Because God has been faithful to keep every promise in His Word, we can trust Him for the future. We can know beyond a shadow of a doubt that He will do what He said he would.

We know that many of the prophecies in the Old Testament spoke of the coming Messiah. And from our place in time, we could easily fall into the trap of rejecting some of the Old Testament because Jesus has come. This is ploy of the enemy to discount the validity of God's Word. We know that ALL Scripture is good for our growth in the LORD.

Part of the wonder of God's amazing Creation is how much it communicates to us the glorious truth that God exists! It's impossible to view this world that we live in without considering the Creator. As Pastor Terry just said, we need to be ready to open our hearts and receive Him.

Even though we know that history shows us that the time between what we understand the old and new testaments to be was four hundred years, that doesn't mean that God was idle. Our Father in Heaven was behind the scenes orchestrating all things for the arrival of His Son, Jesus.

Today we continue considering the seeming future headlines that exist in the book of Zechariah. One of the prophecies that we know that is yet to be fulfilled is the salvation of the Nation of Israel. As we just heard from Pastor Terry...there's coming a time when the people of Israel will recognize Jesus as their Messiah, their Savior.

In the last couple of broadcasts of Summons Pastor Terry has been drawing out headlines that you and I could read in the newspapers today that were written thousands of years ago in the book of Zechariah. We know that Jesus will rule and reign from the city of Jerusalem just as it is spoken of in His Word.

The next time you decide to donate something to your local church...stop and ask yourself, is this something that if I were standing face to face with the Creator of the Universe, I would feel comfortable giving Him? Oftentimes, God receives our second best...rather than our first fruits which actually come from Him.

God has commanded us to be yoked with those who profess the name of Jesus.

Wealth is something that people spend their entire lives working for. And yet the LORD can impart wealth to someone in an instant. Now the wealth of the world is not the same as the wealth of God's kingdom. The point is this...what is your heart position towards your finances? Are you trusting God with your finances or are you running the show?
