At the cross, three men were hanging, but only one could save.
In this powerful message from Luke 23:34–43, we step into one of the most unforgettable moments in Scripture: the scene of three crosses. One thief dies in sin, mocking Jesus. Another dies to sin, turning to Him in repentance. And in the center hangs Jesus, the One dying for sin.
This moment reveals something deeply personal: every one of us is represented at the cross. We are guilty, unable to save ourselves, and in desperate need of grace.
As the repentant thief begins to speak, truth starts to lead his heart. He recognizes three things that change everything:
God is real.
He is guilty.
Jesus is innocent.
This is the heart of true repentance, agreeing with God about our sin and His holiness. When excuses end, grace begins.
With no time to fix his past, perform good works, or prove his worth, the thief does the only thing he can do: he cries out in faith. And in one of the most hope-filled promises ever spoken, Jesus responds:
"Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise."
Every word of that promise is filled with assurance, mercy, and hope.
In this episode, we explore:
What the three crosses reveal about humanity
Why honest repentance changes everything
The power of desperate faith
The certainty of Jesus’ promise to save
Why it’s never too late to come to Jesus
The thief on the cross proves something powerful: you are never too good to need Jesus, and never too bad to be saved by Him.
