Sunday School Slackers

Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.

Chris and Mateo dig into their pastor's-kid childhoods and compare notes on what was — and wasn't — allowed in their houses growing up. Pokémon, Harry Potter, Dungeons & Dragons, Ouija boards, and yes, Grand Theft Auto all make an appearance, along with a surprise baby cameo and a hot take on the "Jesus Calling" devotional that might start a fight in the comments.

Shoutout to our first sponsor, Warmaiden Games — use code SSS for a discount on their tabletop game builds. <---- lol the A.I thought this was a real Ad. But for real go support them and the homie Forrest at The Printing Ox!

Welcome to the very first episode of Sunday School Slackers — a new podcast from filmmaker Chris Mac and pastor/dad-of-five Mateo McGill. Two friends, one virtual hangout (Chris is in San Diego, Mateo's in Metro Detroit), and zero plans to take themselves too seriously.

In this debut episode, Chris and Mateo introduce themselves, go down a rabbit hole about AI and gas station milkshakes, talk fatherhood and fitness, and finally reveal the wild list of names they almost picked before landing on "Sunday School Slackers."

If you're a Christian creative, don't miss Chris's other show, Creative Chapel, where he dives into the intersection of faith and creativity.

Shoutout to The Printing Ox for hooking up the Creative Chapel merch — hit them up for your screen printing needs.
