If we don’t have Christ’s Spirit living inside of us to renew our thoughts and our heart, then we’re not saved. And based on what Paul said, the way to tell is if our mind is focused on enjoying sin, or if our mind is focused on pleasing God. And the evidence of our choice will be seen in our actions. This is why Paul was telling everyone in the church that their actions mattered, or that Christ has a standard.

The greatest statement about love (in the Bible) was made by Paul in his letter to the church in Corinth (1 Corinthians 13). In fact, this passage has been used in numerous weddings to depict the sentiments of both the bride and groom. However, Paul’s statements about love were the things God expected the people of the church to embrace, not just newlyweds.

Those who have faith in Jesus have God’s powerful Spirit, the Holy Spirit, working within them. And the Spirit is capable of accomplishing more than we might ever ask or think or know. So to those frustrated with a lack of accomplishments, remember that!

Pride and prejudice are intertwined into our lives, but only those who embrace that truth will ever allow God to work on either. And the surest sign that we’re allowing God to work will be our compassion toward others.

To openly do something we know is wrong (or to sin) is not the behavior God wants from us as followers.

There is a power that is available to all of us as parts of Christ’s body, but for that power to be unleashed in us there has to be an attitude shift, and this is not natural to us, but supernaturally driven.

From the beginning, God has had a plan to adopt each of us into His family. And with that plan comes all the blessings. However, it might also include some things that are hard. Like in Paul’s case, it might mean persecution or imprisonment.

While many believe Jesus was real, or was indeed killed, some don’t believe His claim to be God, or the disciples claims that He rose from the dead. But there is overwhelming evidence that He did.

To be omnipotent is to be all-powerful. And for most of us, there is a strange attraction to power, whether it’s a powerful personality or some display of power, like a thunderstorm, or an explosion. But real power belongs to God alone...

According to David, God is aware of every moment of our lives or is aware of every little detail, good and bad. And the reason why is because He is all-present and all-knowing. But more importantly, if you’ve read David’s other psalms, you know God’s reason for being constantly present with us is because He loves us like a good parent. But unlike our earthly parents, God knows exactly what’s going on in our minds or in our souls…and therefore knows how to truly help us.
