Double, double toll and trouble; Fire burn and caldron bubble... Witches are one of the most popular Halloween costumes out there. But why?

Many women believed that Halloween was the best day for divination, and they would seek out fortune tellers to discover the name of their future husbands. This along with a combination of other traditions across the millennia led to witches becoming a symbol of the holiday that celebrates the macabre.
