A family of Bhutanese Refugees re-settled in Canada since last 9 years revisit their old shelter camps in Eastern Nepal where they had spend two decades after fleeing Bhutan in the 1990s.

उनीहरु भूटान भन्ने देशमा रहेको आफ्नो घर छाडेर दुःखका पहाडहरु काट्दै नेपाल आए । यही घर बनाए । जीवनका कैयौं घामपानी उनीहरुले यहिँको माटोमा बिताए । ९ वर्षपहिले फेरि उनीहरुको घर बदलियो । सपनाका सात समुद्रमाथि उड्दै उनीहरु क्यानडा पुगे । घर त्यहिँ भयो । झन्डै १ दशकपछि अहिले उनीहरु आफूले छोडिगएको आँगनमा पुराना सम्झनाहरु खोज्दै थिए ।

असोज अन्तिम साता ढोरपाटनका बुकीहरु ओइलाउन थाल्छन् र मानिसहरु बेँसी झर्न थाल्छन् । मध्य हिउँदका केही महिना यहाँका बाटाघाटा, चौर चौतारी, खोला नाला, अनि वन जंगलहरु लगभग एक्ला हुन्छन् । घरहरुमा ताल्चा लाग्छन् । तर पुरै गाउँ रेखदेख गर्ने जिम्मा पाएका चौकिनीहरु भने गाउँमै भेटिन्छन् ।

In the last week of September, the Buki flowers of Dhorpatan begin to wither and people begin to descend into the plains. In the middle of winter, roads, trails, rivers, and forests are almost solitary. Houses are locked and left empty, except for the "Chaukinis".  Chaukinis are the two women who have been assigned to look after the whole village when everyone has left.
