Western Australia is set to have the toughest knife laws in the country allowing police to scan people in any public place even if they're not suspected of carrying a weapon. The approach is modelled on 'Jack's Law' in Queensland which is named after Jack Beasley who was fatally stabbed in 2019 on the Gold Coast.
