In breaking news, OJ Simpson has died aged 76. He was the defendant in what was dubbed the 'Trial of the Century' when he was accused of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend. Although, acquitted at the time he was later found liable for the murders in a civil suit brought on by the victims' families. He would still serve time in prison though for a Las Vegas robbery in 2008.

Police are expected to resume their search for Victorian mum Samantha Murphy today. The focus has been on a new area in Enfield State Park, south of Ballarat. Opposition leader Peter Dutton has doubled down on his comments linking the Port Arthur massacre and a pro-Palestinian rally at the Sydney Opera House.
