Australia's migration intake has hit record numbers revealing that more than 125,000 people arrived in the country in January. The figure is 40 per cent higher than the previous record set for arrivals in January which was set in 2009.

A Japanese rocket has exploded seconds after it was launched. The Solid-fueled rocket that went up in flames sent smoke billowing into the air while burning debris fell near the launch pad below.  The Tokyo start-up that built the rocket was racing to become Japan's first private company to put a satellite into orbit.

The judge overseeing the election interference case against Donald Trump in Georgia has thrown out some charges against him. The former U.S. President is one of 19 people charged with a conspiracy to overturn Georgia's 2020 election results. The judge found six counts in the 41-count indictment against Donald Trump and some of his co-defendants lacked detail.
