Sunset Grooves

Mattmosphere, aka Matt is a down to earth person hailing out of Berlin. A lover of all music, which can be discovered through his number of podcasts he has created for labels such as elektroaktivisten, endlos and our friends sound(ge)cloud.

This 91st podcast, the first one of 2017 sets the scene for a wonderful deep journey. In his own words he loves to set the best mood for the right occasion, especially when it comes to the after hour mellow atmosphere! This mix will dig deep and if you close your eyes you will be able to see which path to follow :))

Take the time to wonder over to Matt's soundcloud page where you will find information about where he is mixing next!

Tim aka earthwormTIM is someone of few words and few mixes. Hailing from Berlin, the heart of a lot of electronic music and after the recent tragedies this makes this 90th podcast extra special. 70 minutes of exquisite tunes blended together to make one hell of a sunset smoothie, this mix is what you need to bring your feet back to your own dance floor. Tim is a regular at places like Polymedialer Ponyhof and PhonoClub in Berlin, so it is definitely worth checking when his next gigs will be as you are guaranteed quality music whenever he is behind the decks.

This mix has deep house in all its forms with elements of tech, acid, deeeeeep, melodic, oriental while keeping a constant groove. Just what we love.

Vielen Dank Tim und bis bald im Berlin!

The wonderful Subcora aka Pinar Öztop has put together an exquisite mix for us to soak in on this November Tuesday. Originally from Istanbul but now residing in Plymouth, she loves all music in all its formats and therefore it was without hesitation we asked her if she could come up with a sunset mix. Her gentle transitions and excellent song choice brings us straight into her sunset mood. It is by no mistake that she has produced sets for podcasts such as Deepist and has received the feedback she deserves for the mix tapes published on her own soundcloud page. Highly recommended to browse her page and follow her next steps. Always positive, eager to discover and share musical gems with everyone, it is an absolute pleasure to share this mix with the sunset grooves community.

Click play and enjoy this musical journey.

Big thanks again :))

The world tends to think that there is less and less quality music, which if you are judging only by what commercial songs that are played on the big radio stations.. that is true. However if you dig deep enough you reach this underground world of quality music and amongst a number of intriguing and wonderful artists the name Wassim Younes will definitely appear across your screen. A DJ known for his excellent mix tapes not only on his profile but for a number of the best music podcasts around such as our friends Serefin Audio Imprint, Orient Art and Deep Vibes Radio, he has also more recently produced a number of quality tracks notably collaborating with Stanisha.

This mix will make you feel you are being transported by the Lebanese clouds just high enough so you can appreciate the Sun set over the sea and across the mountains. A seamless hour long mix with a number of oriental gems, mixed with a smooth slow house beat perfect to soak in that evening sun. If you don't know Wassim, it is the opportunity to start following what he does as it's guaranteed you will not be disappointed.

Many thanks brother!

The lovely Niki Sadeki based out in Vancouver is an absolute treasure. She has been on the music scene for a number of years and has recently developed her very own unique style when she is behind the decks by her selection of quality deep tunes and how she arranges them depending on her mood of the moment. She can adapt to any time of the day by making the sun shine brighter during a sunset session or by making the 4 am night darkness more powerful. A DJ who has caught the attention of wonderful podcasts such as Deep House Tehran, Electronic Groove and Ethereal Kollektiv and it is therefore an absolute pleasure to be able to share one of her mix tapes via our podcast.

This mix is quality from start to finish and was inspired by her recent trip to the dusty playa at Burning Man earlier this year. If you happen to be passing through Vancouver, make sure you check her upcoming gigs as she will be warming up for a number of big DJs over the coming months and I can guarantee it will be pure madness!

Many thanks Niki :))

Sunset Grooves was on holiday for a couple of weeks and has decided to give the podcasts a little new look and feel with a sunset picture that is typical of the area/country where the DJ is from. Our good friend Hassan aka V i v i d was the trigger in giving our mix tapes a fresh vibe.

V i v i d has been on the radar over the last few years for a number of djs, podcasts and listeners who are within the deep underground movement.
