Paco and George discuss all the important stuff in life plus our ROCKTOBER MONTH of shows! We have many great episodes planned on music documentaries all month long, and we kick Rocktober off with The Devil and Daniel Johnston. Next Week's guests are Kip Ulhorn and the film's editor Tyler Hubby.
We also get into The Who, other docs we're watching and even some biopics like Snowden and The Founder that we both kind of hated and we also talk about George's recipe to Tuna Salad which leads us to the worst band name ever....
George discloses that he was in a band called "Sanitary Gremlins"...Do you think this podcast would be more popular if we had named it Sanitary Gremlins?

George and Paco visit Baron Vaughn in Los Angeles to talk about his new documentary Fatherless (2017, Dawn Porter). We learn about Baron's upbringing, his relationship with his mom, therapy, Boston comedy, being on Marc Maron's show, his ideas about masculinity, and the statistical baggage attached to being African-American and fatherless.
The documentary includes appearances from Rain Pryor, Open Mike Eagle, and Lil Rel Howery. It's available on Fusion TV and Amazon Prime.
Baron Vaughn is a series regular on Netflix’s Grace & Frankie in the role of “Bud” with 3 seasons currently streaming. He is the voice of "Tom Servo" in the new Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return also streaming on Netflix. Baron has performed on Comedy Central in his own Half Hour, as well as an appearance on The Meltdown. He performed on Showtime's SXSW Comedy, Conan (twice), and the now defunct Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. He will be on the upcoming Comedy Central show Corporate. Next Week August 21st on Sup Doc: Paco & George talk to comedian/actor Baron Vaughn (Grace and Frankie, Mystery Science Theater 3000, New Negroes) about his documentary Fatherless (2017, Dawn Porter).
Baron is entering his 30s, in a serious relationship, and has lingering questions about the father he never knew. Raised by a single mother in New Mexico, the successful entertainer had to cobble together his ideas about masculinity from all sorts of non-traditional relationships, and ponders the statistical baggage attached to being African-American and fatherless. The viewer accompanies the highs and lows as Vaughn and his film crew set out on the search for his biological father.
Available through Amazon Prime and Fusion TV.
