Bringing slapstick comedy, amazing practical effects and more references/homages than you can count; we really hoped this film would deliver what we needed right now. Let’s find out if it did. This is it. We send out the year in style. For our 5th annual end of year special we have so much to get through. Of course the main offering is our official top 10 horror films of 2020 as decided by the both of us. In a year sadly marred by delays we were somewhat surprised at how many great horror films we did actually see this year. Last year saw a battle between Midsommar and Us for the top spot; but who takes the crown this year? We also go over some listener picks of what you guys have been enjoying the most this year. Ending the show we give out our 8 special Best of awards including Best Death and Best Surprise which is always a fun time choosing a winner and two runners up. This is our longest episode to date so we really hope you guys enjoy it. The last regular show of the year sees us take a break from films this week to discuss the latest special episode of the fantastic revival of Creepshow. Continuing the trend to end the year of actually seeing films we wanted to see at the beginning of this strange year is a sequel to one of our favourite foreign language films we have covered for the show to date. Train to Busan completely blew us away and we’ve been craving more intense zombie action ever since. Can Peninsula deliver the goods? Run was on our radar after a fantastic debut trailer and it’s from the director of one of our recent favourite films in Searching. But can the film deliver on its initial premise where so many movies have failed? Hear our verdict now. Also this week; Robert Englund joins Stranger Things in the feel good news of the week. Scream 5 gets a new title that is the opposite of feel good news. Ari Aster’s next film gets a huge name rumoured as it’s star.
