Continuing the trend to end the year of actually seeing films we wanted to see at the beginning of this strange year is a sequel to one of our favourite foreign language films we have covered for the show to date. Train to Busan completely blew us away and we’ve been craving more intense zombie action ever since. Can Peninsula deliver the goods? Run was on our radar after a fantastic debut trailer and it’s from the director of one of our recent favourite films in Searching. But can the film deliver on its initial premise where so many movies have failed? Hear our verdict now. Also this week; Robert Englund joins Stranger Things in the feel good news of the week. Kicking off spooky season is a film by Darren Lynn Bousman which sadly isn’t the new Saw film but instead is an intriguing story which we hope can deliver on it’s cool premise. This was a nice way for us to be reintroduced to Darren’s work before he hopefully delivers the best horror film of 2021. Elsewhere this week there’s the crazy news of Cineworld’s temporary closure which is certainly one of the maddest stories we've covered in this; the maddest of years. The remake of The Witches gets a trailer and very soon release date. The Resident Evil reboot gets a strong cast announcement.
