Super Nuclear Presents

In this episode, Odd has no luck because Vriska already took aaaaaaaall of it! [Editor's note: David wrote that joke. Rest assured that he has been fired.]

In between an honestly corny framing device in which we find out luck is real in the Lyokoverse (along with ghosts, souls and pink hair), we get Ulrich and Yumi actually being adorably flirty for once, more ABANDONED AMERICAN MILITARY BASE shenanigans, and humor flowing from Jim like beer piss from a hobo's bladder.

We ALSO have an incredible special guest for this one - Matt of Avana Music, as you may recognize from our amazing opening and closing theme! Thank you so much Matt for gracing us with your presence, and for letting us school you in the wonderful world of Tay Zonday's Chocolate Rain.

Also, because Mary had to leave abruptly, we weren't able to get to the mailbag this week. Check back next week for more!

Plot? In MY season four? It's more likely than you think! Granted, this episode doesn't contribute to the story so much as it recalls old plot points from seasons one and two, but beggars can't be choosers. At least this episode [I GEDDIT!] officially introduces Odd's five sisters, to the delight of fanfic writers everywhere (read; Mary), and almost but not quite gives us a look at Franz Hopper's eyes.

We could not be more excited to share this episode with you today. Not only do we have two very special guests (Translation Shaman-Scientist Sarah and Gargalax the Unknowable) But guess who's back? OUR SWEET BOI, Clone William.

And he's sweeter - and smarter - than ever, imitating Odd's silly pranks and bravely defending his friends from dangerous evil Williams. Unfortunately, our brave and morally just heroes spend most of the episode reasoning their way out of thinking of him as a sentient being. And then trying to convince us with the same, with little success.

Behold, our latest and most desperate ratings grab: a live episode! Our friends joined us in a Twitch stream where we answered questions and shot the breeze about live, the universe, and Code Lyoko.

Mary and David make fun of Wreck-It Ralph 2, the trio talks about genies and bears with at least one genuine Australian, and Mary pits Ben against David in a surprise Code Lyoko trivia contest that we somehow all manage to lose.

Thanks to everyone who joined us on the stream! And to those of you who didn't, we still love you, but you've now been demoted to mere silver-tier RttP fans. Sorry, we don't make the rules. (We totally do.)

Get ready to unearth some long-repressed memories. In lieu of a normal episode, we're discussing four of Cartoon Network's "Groovies" - those animated music videos that used to play between shows in the Powerhouse (and maybe also the CN City?) eras. So if you're here for Code Lyoko, you may be disappointed, but if you're a fan of sharks with goatees, this may be the show you've been waiting for!

By the by, we'll be hosting a Twitch stream on Friday, March 22 at http://www.twitch.tv/supernucleargroup where you'll be able to "ask us anything," as the teens are saying these days. Not only about Lyoko but about life, the universe, and everything. So thank you for your patience, and please stay tuned!

Hey, do you like it when Code Lyoko just gets friggin wacky? Bam, here's an episode where Odd turns into a dog. The disparity between the realistic depictions of middle school angst and nonsense like this never ceases to amaze. Also, there are stinky feet jokes (the fart jokes of Europe).

Join the usual trio of franime trash people (your humble hosts!) as they gush over Clone William, reminisce about the halcyon days of AlbinoBlackSheep, and talk about Spider-Man. Lots and lots of Spider-Man.

This episode contains practically zero teen drama and is all about the lasers and kicking, so you'd think it's pretty bad, right? Actually, not so! There's a wee smidge of Flanderization, but that aside, it makes us care about the nuts and bolts of Code Lyoko's plot - a rare feat indeed.

Also, Ben tells us about the Horse Hole. What is it? Mary and David were hoping you could tell us. Additional topics of discussion include: male nipples (feat. a lengthy digression about the movie Time Bandits), cheese poops, incomprehensible Gen-Z memery, and sock enspidering.

In this, the """"lost"""" episode, it turns out XANA is much more powerful than any of us ever imagined, what with his cybernetic spiders and his robot army and his growing brains (I swear, guys, this is a thing that happens). Unfortunately, this revelation doesn't get nearly as much attention as a frankly unengaging attempt to convince us that a forgotten birthday is enough to make Yumi hate Ulrich forever.

Meanwhile, in 'Murica, Mary and David exercise their own brand of all-encompassing power by engineering a way to talk about cloacas again. Marvel as David opens his Valentine's Day present live on the air, as well! (I mean, you can't see it, but you ASMR enthusiasts may be tickled silly by our paper-crinkling action.)

Season four keeps the hits coming with a rather touching episode about Yumi and Hiroki's fraught relationship - even if it does involve them all being very dumb in very entertaining ways. It also introduces William's snazzy new ship, the Rorqual, which looks like a Navskid with a Dib ahoge on it. Needless to say, it's pretty rad.

And speaking of sea life, Mary's quest to convince David to love isopods continues, Ben and David share their favorite anecdotes about incorrect usage of the word 'pimp,' and the 'Group announces their cool new domain name! You won't believe which mythical creature it's themed after.

We like this episode because Clone William is in it for about ten seconds, and also (thanks to some MoonScoop intern mailing the wrong model sheets to Vietnam, we presume) because the characters all wear their S1-3 outfits for one last, glorious time. But you know what? It's a pretty good episode regardless! This Francois Deon guy knows what he's doing. It's a pity he never wrote another one.

We also talk about Kingdom Hearts some more, give Florida the drubbing it deserves, and Mary makes some inroads into getting David to love isopods. Honestly, if you want any more than that, you're just being greedy. Give us your click already.
