Dr. Stephen Strange’s origin story as Doctor Strange in the movie is strikingly similar to that in the comics.

Doctor Strange was created in 1963 which is the same year Lamborghini was founded, but the car he crashed in the comics looks more like an Aston Martin than a 1960’s Lamborghini.

Kamar-Taj is a remote community in the Himalayan mountains in or near Tibet.

Yao the Ancient One is hundreds of years old and was born in Kamar-Taj.

Mordo was from Transylvania in the comics and also attempted to gain power from Dormammu.

Very much unlike the Doctor Strange movie Kaecilius was a disciple of Mordo in the comics.

Wong was a servant of the Sorcerer Supreme which means he became Doctor Strange’s servant in the comics.

Dormammu from Doctor Strange is highly similar to Alioth from Loki.

Doctor Strange’s amulet, the Eye of Agamotto, never held an Infinity Stone in the comics but was also known as the All-Seeing Eye of Infinity.

Doctor Strange’s Cloak of Levitation was a gift given to him by the Ancient One after prevailing against Dormammu.

Chiwetel Ejiofor confirms he's returning to the MCU as Mordo for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Scott Lang’s origin in the comics is very similar to what we see in the MCU.

Chekhov’s gun is a principle that means if you have something in one act, that thing should have an impact in a later act.

Dr. Henry "Hank" Pym, Ph.D was the original Ant Man and later on Yellowjacket in the comicbooks.

Janet Van Dyne is the Wasp and a founding member of the Avengers.

Hank Pym was abusive to his wife in the comics around the time he was Yellowjacket.

In the comics the Iron Legion was a group of people led by War Machine to fight while Tony Stark was comatose. This group included Happy Hogan.

For a long time, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch were Magneto's children. But, that's been changed, mainly because of rights issues with Marvel and the X-men.

There have been several Hulkbuster Armor suits in the comic books.

Ultron gets killed in the comics but keeps coming back.

Vision was created by Ultron from parts of the original Human Torch android.

The Infinity Stones are also known as the Infinity Gems and the Soul Gems.

Nathaniel Richards has taken many different forms in the comics over the years but many know him as Kang.

Yelana is not Natasha's sister in the comics, and sorta joined the Avengers, and she’s dead now.

The Black Widow Ops Program was based at the Red Room during the Cold War and was created because of their success with the Winter Soldier.

Natasha was trained by the Red Room and once a member of the KGB before defecting to the US to join Shield.

There was a Red Guardian before Alexi from the movie who was named Aleksey Lebedev.

Alexi Shostakov was the second Red Guardian and was married to Natasha for a while. In the comics, he did not have the super soldier serum.

Taskmaster is a completely different character in the movie than the comics.

Nastasha’s fixer in the movie, Rick Mason, is from the comics but isn’t closely associated with Natasha.

Valentina Allegra de Fontaine has a convoluted history but was once a leading member of Shield.

Melina lived in the shadow of Black Widow while working as an agent of the Russian government named Iron Maiden. She later tried to kill Black Widow.
