SuperCoach Champions

We are back with the fifth episode of the NRL SuperCoach Champions podcast, and we are officially into the 2019 NRL SuperCoach season! Catfish and Bear talk the wash-up from Round 1, we review the preseason calls that we got right, and that we got wrong, we talk the Team List highlights that interest us but the main topic of discussion this week is the trades for this week and next - what are we prioritising, who we're targeting, and how are we setting ourselves up for the next two weeks. We also discuss strategically how the two of us will approach the coming 6-8 rounds differently.

Thank you as always for your kind reviews and ratings, we really do appreciate them all! And we did mention a little plug for our Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/NRLSC_Champions - please have a browse and see if you want to get involved!

We promised you an EPIC podcast this week - well, is having the 2018, 2017 and 2016 NRL SuperCoach Champions all in one podcast epic enough?!

Guy and Wilfred are joined by Sam Rohlf a.k.a BanyoBoy to talk about a shocker of a TLT, a few tidbits strategy-wise re: cheapies and players missing from Round 1 but are back soon, contingency plans for potential late inclusions/swaps and outs... but most importantly, what you've been waiting for - our most updated teams following TLT, just our respective thoughts and breakdowns of why we've picked certain players over others.

For those who may have missed it, we also launched this - https://www.patreon.com/NRLSC_Champions - please give it a read, and obviously if you like what you're hearing, we'd love to have you join us in our Discord Server and the next steps of our Champions journey!

Also another quick reminder - the NRL SC Champions group code is 948196 (group code, not league code!) so please jump into the group and we can see who can become the Champion of the Champions group this season!

Episode #3 of the NRL SuperCoach Champions is hot off the presses and you've got Guy and Wilfred to talk all things NRL SuperCoach for another week.

We share some thoughts on the Centre/Wing position in SuperCoach, talk team structure including some consideration of the dual gun fullback and/or the three gun/POD half approach, share our respective approaches to 'draw analysis' and we also answer a bunch of your Twitter questions which raised some really interesting discussion points.

As mentioned in this week's podcast though, the NRL SC Champions group code is 948196 (group code, not league code!) so please jump into the group and we can see who can become the Champion of the Champions group this season!

P.S. we promise next week's episode is going to be pretty EPIC - even if we do say so ourselves!

We're back with the second episode of the NRL SuperCoach Champions and we're here again to offer our unique perspective on NRL SuperCoach.

We love the reviews and feedback you've been offering us! Please continue to throw suggestions our way as it's giving us great ideas on what else we can discuss moving forward.

This week we talk about the "Seibold Effect", the myth surrounding the SuperCoach, Wayne "SuperCoach Killer" Bennett, a further dive into Bear's Round 1 NPR strategy (including what players he is considering for that strategy this year) and we also take a look at the mistakes that can derail a promising season (i.e. dissecting Catfish's crash and burn at the end of 2018).

We again hope you'll enjoy what you hear, please subscribe and leave us a comment on what you enjoyed (or didn't enjoy), what we can improve on, things that you'd like to hear us discuss in coming episodes, or just to say hi!

Welcome to the first episode of the NRL SuperCoach Champions Podcast, the only NRL SuperCoach podcast where the hosts can actually say that they know firsthand what's required to take home the title of NRL SuperCoach overall champion. Wilfred a.k.a. Catfish (the 2016 overall winner) and Guy a.k.a. Bear (the reigning champ!) will hopefully share their thoughts once a week on everything footy or NRL SuperCoach-related.

This week we talk about the plans we have for the podcast, introduce a bit about ourselves as footy fans and as SuperCoaches, and dissect Bear's victorious 2018 season by looking at his overall strategy, some of the risks he took and reflecting on the biggest 'takeaway' from last season that he'll be looking to apply again for the coming 2019 season. We also share a bit of our thoughts on our respective winning seasons and how different our strategies and mindsets can be, yet both of us were still able to come out the other end as winners.

Finally we talk in brief about 2019, about a few players that we will 100% have, and won't have, in our respective teams the start Round 1 of the 2019 season. We're just three weeks away from kick-off!

We hope you'll enjoy what you hear, please subscribe and leave us a comment on what you enjoyed (or didn't enjoy), what we can improve on, things that you'd like to hear us discuss in coming episodes, or just to say hi!
