Supermarket giants Coles and Woolworths are facing court action for allegedly hiking the prices of some products before placing them on sale. 

The A-triple-C says the behaviour created "illusory" discount claims on hundreds of common products. 

Rural Reporter Daneie Geddes spoke with Chairwoman Gina Cass-Gottlieb about the legal action.
