KJ is in charge of the mythology section for better or for worse. They also bring a knowledge of the service LexisNexis. Alongside KJ are Meredith and Julia with their thoughts on this very Winchester family dynamic heavy episode as every viewer is forced to watch John neglect his children. Two new segments debut.

KJ and Meredith spent Halloween weekend with the Winchesters as they took on a haunted house (and each other in a pranking capacity). KJ uses this episode’s entire tangent allowance in an effort to avoid the recap. Meredith uses the word “grody” in the year 2021. KJ takes issue with the motel’s decor. Meredith explores a link between the monster of the week and the My Little Pony fandom.
CW Episode description: Sam and Dean investigate a house haunted by the ghost of Mordecai, a man who killed his six daughters during the 1930s. The brothers discover a website dedicated to the Mordecai legend and realize the town is unknowingly conjuring up the evil spirit through the site.

KJ and Meredith are joined by Meredith’s older sister Audrey to talk about this week’s episode. Meredith has a lot going on this week between her sibling being a guest and sharing a name with the opening scene victim. Audrey and KJ try to figure out how Dean’s game of connect the blood dots works-featuring KJ being bad at explaining math! KJ also jumps in to berate Eric Kripke for his pitfall slander and teaches a geography lesson on where Kansas may or may not be located. And in the mental health section we have a mini discussion episode about how Dean is reacting to Sam’s sexuality.
CW Episode description: While investigating a mysterious death in Chicago, Sam and Dean run into Meg (guest star Nicki Aycox), who is thrilled to see Sam again. Things are getting gruesome on this week’s true crime inspired episode of Supernatural. KJ, Meredith, and Jaden are recapping this episode that contains no supernatural entities, just a family of fairly monstrous human beings. Meredith and KJ delve into the historical murder families that inspired this episode, and first time guest Jaden brings her voice to the show! Missy Bender, Child of Nightmares may be the most terrifying female character on the show thus far, but Officer Kathleen is here as our new favorite law enforcement officer. KJ also explores a potential connection to a later Supernatural fan favorite character.

Meredith and KJ have found some friends-Julia and Jordan are back as John abandons his children as they search for a way to save Dean’s life. Meredith brings us our weekly X-Files reference guide and teams up with Jordan to create a new segment on the podcast to where they nominate characters to take the place of characters brought back in season 4 episode 2 who should feel wronged by the Winchesters. The group speculates that the wise, gentle Layla Rourke is living a happier life than the episode implies. And Julia has a shocking theory regarding heavenly intervention even as early as season one in the show’s run.
CW Episode description: While battling a Rawhead, Dean is electrocuted, resulting in permanent damage to his heart and leaving him with only a couple of months to live. KJ and Meredith are still on their own this week, they are sticking together even while the Winchester boys split up over a disagreement over orders handed down from their absentee father. While Meredith brings us research on Norse mythology, KJ has issues with Dean’s interpretation of the word “apology”. The Wizard of Oz ends up being a bit of a motif in this week’s episode, and KJ and Meredith beat a Friends reference into the ground.
CW Episode description: After arguing about the search for their father, Sam and Dean split ways - Sam to continue the search in California, Dean to hunt the mysterious disappearances of passing-through couples in Indiana.
