Supernatural Opinions

KJ is joined by Meredith, Jordan, and Jenn as Sam’s life is on the line and two new Special Children are revealed. Jenn takes offense to the fact that every character in Supernatural wears the most insane outfits to bed-from Ava’s Victoria’s Secret get up to Jess’s pushup bra to Sam and Dean often sleeping in jeans. Kj turns the tables back on Gordon to answer for a seemingly inhuman speed and strength. As usual, police in Supernatural fail to perform basic policing, and KJ wants them all fired. Jordan has a crush on Ava (rightfully so, she’s amazing).
CW Episode Description: After Dean tells Sam what their father told him before he died, a distraught Sam sneaks off to Indiana without Dean. While there, Sam runs into Eva (guest star Katherine Isabelle), a psychic who confesses to Sam she sought him out to warn him of his impending death. Dean discovers Gordon (guest star Sterling K. Brown) is after Sam and races to find his brother in time to save him.

KJ, Meredith, Moira, and Jordan are celebrating(?) the long-awaited 1000 total deaths, after Sam and Dean fail to save literally ANYONE in the doomed town of Rivergrove. KJ and Meredith have some serious (and not so serious) issues with the show’s choice to subvert the history of The Lost Colony of Roanoke.
CW Episode Description: After Sam has a vision of Dean killing a young man who seems to be possessed by a demon, the two brothers head off to Oregon to search for answers. They come across a town infected by a deadly virus that drives a person to kill. Sam becomes infected by one of the locals and prepares for his deadly fate, but after nothing happens to him, Dean decides to come clean and reveal what John (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) whispered to him before he died.

KJ is joined by Meredith, Jenn, and Abigail from the newly rebranded Saving People, Queering Things Podcast as the boys investigate a series of successful people dying young. It’s finally time for the Soul Transactions segment to have its day in the sun! Meredith has a section on supernatural folklore around dogs, Jenn has some Faust and demon deal details to share, and everyone speculates on the struggles of demons as the terms of demon deals fail to keep pace with the economic inflation happening in Hell.
CW Episode Description: When two highly successful professionals die after claiming to be haunted by hellhounds, Sam and Dean investigate the local drive bar and discover it sits upon a site where a deal-making demon has been making people's dreams come true in exchange for their souls. Dean summons the demon to exorcise it but is horrified after it reveals the painful truth about John's death and tempts Dean by offering him the one thing he wants more than anything - his father.

KJ brings their criminal justice background and takes a strong stance on dating in the workplace. This week KJ, Meredith, Rivera, and Moira are trying to contextualize the 600 pop culture references in this weeks’ episode as the law catches up to the Winchesters and Dean is once again caught red-handed at the scene of a murder. You can also try beating KJ’s daily Superdle scores @SPNOpinionsPod on Twitter.
CW Episode Description: Sam and Dean investigate the murders of a lawyer and his wife who claimed to have seen a ghost right before they died. However, after local detectives Ballard (guest star Linda Blair) and Sheridan (guest star Jason Gedrick) uncover the Winchesters' records, they arrest the brothers for a double homicide before they are able to find the ghost. When the ghost begins to visit Ballard, she begins to wonder if the tale Sam and Dean are telling her could be true, and if she might be the next to die.

KJ is joined by Meredith, Moira, and Jenn to talk about some of the original ladies of Supernatural, Ellen and Jo Harvelle. KJ dove deep into the show’s lore and beyond, including Jo’s journal and even John Winchesters. There’s also a discussion on Ellen and Jo’s departure from the story, and some alternative timelines that could’ve been explored. And Jenn brings the mood back up by wondering what other characters would’ve been fast-friends with the Harvelles. KJ pitches a better prequel/spin-off called “Roadhouse”.

It’s the episode where KJ has mythology section stuff entirely separate from Meredith’s breakdown of ectoplasm! KJ is joined by Meredith, Audrey, and Frances as Sam and Dean reluctantly team up with Jo against the ghost of an infamous serial killer, H. H. Holmes. KJ also has the tea on a very different Holmes, Katie Holmes, her marriage to Tom Cruise, and the Church of Scientology.
CW Episode Description: Sam and Dean investigate the brutal slayings of blond women from an apartment building and discover the demon responsible is the ghost of the first serial murderer, H. H. Holmes. Meanwhile, defying her mother's (guest star Samantha Ferris) wishes, Jo (guest star Alana Tal) follows the Winchesters on their hunt and ends up getting captured by the ghost and buried alive.

As a thank you for hitting 2000 overall downloads, KJ has compiled some moments that didn't quite make the cut in their original form (but they might make you laugh)!

This episode is three weeks overdue but probably worth the wait! KJ is joined by Meredith, Jordan, and Vail as Sam and Dean encounter our new favorite special child, Andy Gallagher. There’s some vehicular appreciation (that van is “Sa-weet!”), Jordan educates us on early 90s SNL, and Meredith has an mythology section about the literary trope of mind control. Don’t mind KJ though, their brain came to a screeching halt when Ash, sorry, Dr. Badass, came to the door shirtless two minutes into the episode.
CW Episode Description: Sam and Dean meet Andy (guest star Gabriel Tigerman), a slacker who has psychic powers of persuasion, which he uses to gain favors from people. However, when some of Andy's friends start dying, the brothers question whether Andy is using his powers to kill. After learning that Andy's family was visited by the Demon 22 years ago, Sam wonders if Andy is part of the group of children the Demon told him about, and if that means he himself will eventually turn evil.

KJ, Meredith, Jenn, and Frances are following the Winchesters to the random cemetery in Illinois where their mother, Mary, has a headstone paid for by an unexplained uncle. Sam and Dean are still butting heads over their methods of grieving John’s death and Sam has proposed this really fun roadtrip. Meredith has a fun history section and KJ proposes the four T’s of things you shouldn’t be while driving-texting, tired, teary, or tipsy.
CW Episode Description: Dean and Sam investigate the death of a college student who has come back from the dead seeking revenge on those who mistreated her while she was alive. Upon confrontation, the ghost savagely attacks Sam, leaving him injured. While in town, the brothers visit their mother's grave to pass along something from their father (Jeffrey Dean Morgan's).
