A 7-to 8-foot alligator was safely removed from Highway 21 North in Neshoba County on Wednesday. Two alligator wranglers have relocated it.
Earlier this week, the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks announced that private lands alligator season applications are now open. Beginning this year, applications can only be submitted online. Hunters have from now until July 1 to formally submit a bid to hunt alligators on private lands.
