The preliminary hearing for a convicted sex offender and former Diamondhead city councilman is scheduled for April 24 at 10 a.m.
Alan Moran was on probation for felony exploitation of a child and contributing to the delinquency of a minor when he was arrested in December for allegedly stalking a 19-year-old employee at Lowe's. In the first incident, he was convicted of trying to get a 17-year-old to drink beer and perform sexual acts in exchange for money and an iPhone. A judge revoked his probation after his second arrest.
In a related case, two men are accused of trying to bribe the Lowe's employee to drop the stalking charge. Ian Shexnayder and Jeremy Billings were charged with felony bribing of a witness.
