Welcome back dear listener. We are here again with a new book and a new episode. Our book for today is The Road, a 2006 post-apocalyptic novel by American writer Cormac McCarthy. This book explores the theme of fatherhood among others. We realize this is not an easy read at times but we believe it is worth it in the end.

Happy December everyone! its kinda crazy how quickly this year has gone by but here we are looking at another Christmas and New Year right around the corner. Today we are looking at a Jack London short story, To Build a Fire. This is a classic Jack London story of man vs nature with a dog in the mix. We hope that you were helped by it and provoked to thought and contemplation as he explores the themes of pride and foolhardiness.

Happy Thanksgiving! We hope this book was a cornucopia of reading delight. Seriously though, we hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did. At first blush it may seem like a zany, offbeat comedy and thats about it, but we think there is more going on under the surface. Hopefully our conversation is helpful in untangling - just a little bit - this nihilistic sci-fi. So enjoy some Turkey and Mashed Potatoes and wash it down with a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster and have a great Thanksgiving
