Supplier Spotlight at Southside Cellar

It’s been a great year for our Supplier Spotlight series and this one will certainly be interesting to say the least! When we started this supplier forum we never envisioned its growth and morphing into a live podcast recording. We simply wanted to chat beer and learn from the hard working folks in the industry. With encouragement from our good friend, Charlie Pelletier that begged for this event, our Owner, Shawn Howell sat down to tell his Craft Beer journey. We opened it up to the Southside Cellar home crowd to come out to ask any question they wanted in an open forum for the finale to this amazing season. Beers, freebies, and many great stories of how we got here!

We welcomed back local craft brew advocate and local sports radio personality Matt McClearin (96.3 Sportsradio The Ticket) along with his homie Gavin Secchi of 3 Nations Brewing to chat their latest DFW Ticket P1 6-pack beer release "Matty Light" and all things local Craft Beer. Matty Beers is back to use his large local platform to preach the Craft Beer gospel. I'm absolutely pumped to have Gavin back in tandem to chat the recent 10 year anniversary celebration at 3 Nations Brewing as well.

This week our homie, Tripp Wells was back in the taproom! We properly hoisted the fabled dimpled stein to cheers Altstadt's audacious Fredericksburg  brewery. It was a night of great beer and great convos, including him schooling us on the supply chain logistics of importing specific, premium German malts and hops to maintain the absolute authenticity of adhering to the 1516 German Beer Purity Law.
