Building confidence, or deepening your confidence generally stems from actions. Specifically, when we do things afraid.  

Fear is the number one reason why many of us not only live with regret, but also feel unsure of just how much we truly are capable of. Many of us are waiting to feel confident to take that leap of faith.  Give yourself the gift of trying. Commit to a course of action and forgive yourself any failures or difficulties you encounter along your journey. 

Recognize that nothing you encounter is meant to defeat you, but to establish you for what you can become.

In today's discussion, we will be talking about how sometimes our communities and societies place the expectation on us to self-sacrifice, even when it is sometimes to our own detriment.  

Not all communities are created equal. Oftentimes we find ourselves engaging and pouring into communal settings that have fairly traditional ideals as it relates to self-sacrifice and reciprocity.  

In this video, we tackle how self-sacrifice can create an unhealthy pressure to conform to communal rules, that do not align with our own. While every circumstance is different, it's important to advocate for your needs as a right, not a privilege.

In today's discussion we are talking about limiting the time we spend being distracted.  

More specifically, I'm providing tried, tested and true tips on how to limit the distractions in your life, as a means of improving your quality of life long-term.  Our attention earns media agencies a lot of money and we rarely see recompense for our time spent. 

What's the solution? Spend more time in areas that give you an opportunity to earn!   

Whether it's working on passion projects and trying to get them to generate revenue, or you're earning by way of building and sustaining meaningful relationships, it's to our benefit to see distraction as a waste of value for for our time, rather than a value add.

We often trail our service absentmindedly from one area to another, not recognizing the power that our focus plays on our general mental health. 

If our focus leads us to constantly dwell on the negative, we'll see life within that vein, and the same is true for the inverse.  

So here's an argument as to why we should all reclaim the power in our focus, and actively participate in creating mental frames that align with feeling mentally grounded.

Hi Everyone!  

Welcome to our second segment on Mental Wellness, this week 😊  

In today's discussion we are going to be talking about the external gaze.  

Often referenced as the male gaze, given that we live in a patriarchal society, though I've used neutral language since I believe everyone is impacted by it.  Unfortunately, not for the better. 

A lot of what informs the external gaze are assumptions, generalizations, stereotypes and typecasts that leave little room for our individuality to shine. Also, it makes it difficult to shake off unwanted attention if the external gaze, feels entitled. 

Here are three tips on how to navigate.

We are talking how moderating what we see visually, can be a huge benefit to our overall Mental Wellbeing. A lot of what jars our inner states of being involve the things that we interact with in our day-to-day environments.  

The more we value our inner peace, the more we take on the appropriate measures to protect it. Needless to say this does not simply involve our relationships, but how we interact and what we engage with, as well.
