Amidst the rejection of Ahaz, Isaiah prophesies the hope for the faithful remnant in the Promised Son. Though Israel goes through exile and the faithful remnant with them, they know that the kingdom of the Messiah shall have no end.

After many years of building the temple, Solomon calls the priests to bring the ark of the covenant into the temple. God then appears in the cloud like He did on Sinai showing that He dwells with Israel in Jerusalem.

In Acts 24, there is an official trial before Felix. The High Priest makes his accusation and Paul makes his defense. Paul points out that their accusations are baseless and explains what he did, namely preach the hope of the resurrection. He even speaks directly to Felix about the judgment to come, but Felix still continues in his wickedness.

While Jacob is fleeing for his life, his exile status emerges further as he is destitute of a warm bed and susceptible to nightly dangers. But God condescends to him in a dream and affirms the promises of Abraham by stating that He will be with him. Jacob realizes that the place he is in is the house of God where heaven and earth meet. Then Jacob vows to worship Yahweh.

After God has given instruction on how to build His house, and after the golden calf incident, Moses is commanded to build the tabernacle. He does everything as God commanded him. This leads to the climax of the entire book as the glory of God comes upon the temple, and Yahweh dwells with Israel.

God's providence is over the plot against Paul in Jerusalem. After bearing witness before the Sanhedrin, Jesus appears to Paul to encourage him in his mission. God thwarts the plot of the Jews by sending Paul to Felix.

Jesus explains that he is the legitimate entrance into heaven by describing himself as the gate of the sheep. He differs from thieves and imposters, who are the religious leaders of Israel, as they try to enter in another way other than the gate. All who enter into the sheepfold must enter through Christ by faith.

When God created Adam, He placed him in the Garden in Eden and had a special communion with him. Eden is the first temple and Adam is the first priest who was called to cultivate and keep it. In obeying God, Adam could've earned eternal bliss. Sadly, this communion was severed by Adam's sin, which paves the way for the second Adam.
