This week on Surviving and Thriving: Girl Talk, we’re getting real about mental health, the good days, the down days, and the “please don’t talk to me until I’ve had coffee” days.
Join us as we chat about our own experiences with therapy, how we try to keep our minds in check while juggling life, and what we actually do when everything feels a bit much.
It’s a light-hearted and completely judgment-free conversation about looking after your headspace without pretending we’ve got it all figured out.

This week on Surviving and Thriving: Girl Talk, we delve into the emotional rollercoaster that is motherhood, complete with mum guilt, identity crises, and the Olympic sport of accidentally embarrassing your teenagers (or not).
Join us as we candidly discuss what it’s like to lose yourself a little in the chaos of raising tiny humans who grow into eye-rolling, door-slamming, mysteriously hungry teenagers. We unpack why taking time for yourself feels illegal, and how motherhood changes your sense of identity.
Real talk and zero judgment. Let’s survive it and thrive in it together.

Grandfather and now CEO, Bob McGurrell has kindly agreed to join me on the pod to tell me his families story, one I can't even imagine experiencing.
This episode is truly inspiring and shows how you can take a really awful situation and turn it into something positive like helping other families cope with miscarriage, still birth and child loss.
In memory of grandson Louis, the 4Louis charity now supplies memory boxes, cuddle cots, help create bereavement spaces and train NHS professionals all over the UK.
*This episode contains themes of baby loss, which some listeners may find difficult to listen to*.
