Today, hosts Sam Maloney and Yara Wilde, along with special panel guests, Dr. Caroline Heldman and Jane Doe, welcome filmmaker Ivy Meeropol to discuss her new film, Ask E. Jean.
Generating Oscar buzz, Ask E. Jean is a refreshing window into the life and journey of E. Jean Carroll, from witty, brilliant advice columnist, to winning a legal battle against Donald Trump, who was found liable of defamation and sexually assaulting her decades ago. Through Ivy's lens, we see the many facets of a brave, resilient woman who is both a superhero, and surprisingly relatable and incredibly human.
Ask E. Jean is now available to stream on Apple, Prime Video, and Google Play

Hosts Sam Maloney and Yara Wilde, and guest co-host Mia Latter, welcome special guest, Dr. Caroline Heldman. In 2015, the documentary, The Hunting Ground exposed how college campuses protect predators in their handling of sexual assault cases. In light of the recent rape allegations at Cornell, we examine what has changed, and sadly, what hasn't, 11 years after The Hunting Ground debuted.
In the second part of the episode, we talk about how recording artists are are rarely held accountable and continue to be allowed to perform and enjoy a career, and discuss our disgust at metal band, Slipknot's choice to allow Marilyn Manson to open for them in their upcoming show at Wembley Stadium given that 26 women have made credible allegations about abuse he committed.
Produced by Sam Maloney, Yara Wilde, Isabella Marano, and Ben Joplin.
