I grew up with dogs in my house. They were the greatest companions, often risking themselves in order to keep us safe. But even then, they were treated as though they were only animals. Now I have cats, and I finally understand the value these animals bring into our lives. This weeks podcast cover photo is one of me at 13 holding my dog Cookie.
