The Four Horseman - The Black Horse The Black Horse represents famine in the Tribulation period. Famine will take a great role in the Tribulation period. The pleasures of this world will be taken away, and those left on earth will either turn unto God or they will continue to shun Him.

After the devil and his host of unbelievers have finally been put away for all eternity, the Lord has a new heaven and a new earth. He is preparing a new city, the new Jerusalem, in which His children will spend eternity. Its description is marvelous and full of grandeur. Yet, the half has not yet been told.

The Four Horsemen - The Red Horse This rider, with his power and his sword, represents war. Whereas the white horse gave peace and victory, the red horse takes away that peace and brings about murder.

The biblical promise of a new heaven and a new earth as described in Revelation 21 gives believers much to look forward to. The current atmospheric and planetary heavens will all be transfigured into a glorified state. We should earnestly desire this eternal reality over this current earthly home.

We have a biblical mandate to cast all anxieties and care upon God. His eternal love and care are available to every believer; though unworthy. God's desire is that we bring our trials, temptations and trouble to Him with a heart of humility. Actively pursuing Christ through prayer and thanksgiving.

Divine chastisement is not merely used as punishment but as a loving form of spiritual discipline intended for the maturity and endurance of believers. God corrects His children through various means, including premature death, personal affliction, loss of peace, and the natural consequences of sin.

The Four Horseman - The White Horse The White Horse is not explicitly identified here in Revelation 6. It is likely that this rider is the Antichrist who will come to deceive the world. Yet again, he is trying to imitate Christ and bring about a false peace upon the earth.

There are four main ways believers experience this discipline. Through circumstantial trials, the consequences of poor choices, the loss of spiritual peace, and personal affliction.

We as believer's have and ought to have a deep longing for heaven. Not merely a future destination but as a present spiritual reality that shapes our daily conduct.
