We were driving through Menifee, California, yesterday, and passed by Jeremy McGrath's race shop - which also used to be home to SML - and saw that MC was out front working on his Kawasaki KRX UTV. We pulled in to say hello, and thought it would be a great opportunity to catch up with McGrath and see what he's been up to! Of course, we also reminisced about some good old times, plus did some bench racing about last weekend's Anaheim One Supercross! Enjoy!

Last Saturday night, Eli Tomac earned the 54th 450 Supercross win of his career at Angels Stadium and made it 12 seasons straight that he has won at the highest level of the sport. "Wow, that makes me feel pretty ancient," he joked. "But winning Anaheim One is the big one - it's our Indy 500, right?" Unless you're one of the elite few who earn a factory ride, racing Supercross and motocross professionally is not sustainable for years on end. Finding a career that keeps you involved in the sport you love is the dream for most racers when they retire, but even that can be a challenge. Jared Hicks was a Supercross privateer who teamed up with German privateer Philipp Klakow to start a custom graphics company to support their racing habit, way back in 2011. These days, Backyard Design USA has grown exponentially, and Hicks and Klakow are working full-time to grow their company from both sides of the globe. Hicks is also one of Dirt Bike Magazine's staple test riders, so he still gets to spend plenty of time in the saddle of a motocross bike. The last race at the last stop of the entire FIM WSX World Supercross Championship provided some excellent racing last weekend, as Joey Savatgy and Jason Anderson traded numerous passes for the lead and ultimately, the 2025 WSX World Championship, with El Hombre prevailing and earning his first World Championship title. Shane McElrath, meanwhile, dominated the final stop with a complete sweep of the racing, but ot wasn't enough to keep Max Anstie from stripping him of his number-one plate. Jerry Robin has long been a fixture on the pro motocross and Supercross circuit, as one of the sport's most prominent privateer racers. His life took a drastic turn on April 19th, though, when he crashed during practice at the East Rutherford Supercross and suffered paralyzing injuries. Through it all, Robin has approached his recovery, therapy, and new life path with the same intensity that brought him success on the racetrack, and only eight months post-injury, he seems to have his new life pretty well figured out. Last week, Robin started a job with his sponsor, FXR Racing, the Canadian MX apparel brand that has made huge strides in American motocross. We caught up with Jerry this afternoon for a super enjoyable conversation.
