In this episode, Allison + Tiffany talk about blackness. What does it mean? Does it make a black partner anti-black to be with someone of another race? Allison talks about ways being in a multicultural relationship has helped her learn and allyship. Tiffany recalls what "fitting in" was like at 10 different schools in 8 years and talks about a well-dressed asshole from middle school. Allison's parents basement flooded and we found a yearbook from pre-integration. Allison + Tiffany return on the topic of holidays (don't worry it's not sad AF this time) and draw from their own experiences and pasts that might be helpful to listeners who brave the trip to visit their families (or the families of their SO). They also break down some suggestions for boundaries that may keep your mental state intact during what could be the most stressful dinner party of the year (especially if you are not out, if you experience familial pressures regarding politics, children, appearance, diet culture or relationships with food).

Tiffany + Allison discuss the holidays and their polar opposite views on this time of year. Tiffany has lived with seasonal depression, and an overall negative feeling about the holiday season for as long as she can remember; Allison's family would decorate for Christmas 365 days a year if the the neighbors wouldn't complain.
This episode talks about tough family dynamics, not believing in Santa or the "magic" of Christmas, gift giving, obligatory familial reciprocity (a term Tiffany has used to for years), and how their holiday traditions have ebbed, flowed, and changed during the course of their relationship and what holidays may look like moving forward
