Swerve Shows

G'day groovers, this month I've got a very special show, and a very special announcement. As of August, we'll be running a monthly club night at Tokyo Sing Song on top of our first Saturday party at the Gladstone, which is also being extended until 3am!

This is super exciting for us as it welcomes in a new era of Cosmic Boogie! Expect big diverse sounds like the ones you're going to hear in this mix. Traversing genres, grooves, sounds, styles, ideas and feelings each month, this mix perfectly encapsulates what you can expect us to be doing down in the glitter dungeon.

The broadcast will cut out at 2h, but the full show is about 2h45m long and takes a ride from tech house to jungle, stopping at everything in between. The recording will be released on Soundcloud as soon as the show has aired complete with a full track list for you trainspotters. Stay tuned to the page and keep up to date with us here https://linktr.ee/cosmicboogie.

You may not have heard of Shake Daddy before the party in July, for those of you who were there at least, she's the new kid on the block. This multi hyphenated talent has recently moved from Naarm, right at the start of Covid (unfortunate), and she certainly knows how to bring the house down. Rave reviews flying all evening! Shake daddy is most definitely one to look out for in Eora’s party scene.

Check the recording of her set at the party and be sure to keep an eye out for her name over the next few months. To make life easier, here's her link;

The 4th and final recording from our June party comes from the very lovely and very talented Talé! She came through and laid down a fabulously eclectic set of bass, UKG and house music, with a soulful tinge. It was a pleasure to witness in person, and it's a pleasure to listen back to.

Please be sure to get stuck in as soon as you have the chance. <3 <3

Many thanks to Talé for coming down. Check her links below and be sure to comment for the tracklist!

What can we say about Revived Pleasure... in the short time we've been running this party at The Lord Gladstone, he's the only man we've booked twice. There's a very good reason for that, as you, dear listener, are about to experience (if you weren't there on the day to witness it live).

Revived Pleasure is a true student of the craft, the amount of time spent digging, coordinating, sorting, digitising and honing the skills you need to produce an output like this, is truly astonishing.

Alex is a truly under utilised and under celebrated stalwart of the Sydney underground music community. If you ever see him on a lineup again, do yourself a favour and get down to witness it in action. Give Brighter Days and Revived Pleasure a follow on Soundcloud and Facebook. Don't miss a beat.

Alex, thank you for this 2 hours of magic. <3

Last Cosmic Boogie we had the divine pleasure of both opening, and closing the party! You can find the opening set in this playlist if you want to hear where we started, and where we finished. This set is a rip roaring journey through Bmore, bassline, tech house, UKG, techno and more.

Please enjoy, and we'll see you July 2nd <3

Ahead of our next party, we thought we'd upload our 3h B2B session opening the last one. What a gorgeous time it was in the sun warming it up for mates 🥰

Check us out here https://linktr.ee/cosmicboogie Next party is the 2nd of July!

😘😘😘😘

This last month has been a little large for Cosmic Boogie. We've played more shows than we have in quite a while and things are heating up! This months show is a direct recording taken from Tom Penny and my closing set at Picnic pres. Dance Dance Dance on the 4th of June. Vibes were high and the tunes were rolling, lots of energy courtesy of the old school housey goodness to liven up your day or night. We had a fabulous time playing, big thanks to Carly for putting us on and supporting us. Comment for a track ID, drop us a line for bookings.

Much Love, Cosmic Boogie ❤️

At our May edition of Cosmic Boogie we invited the one and only Monako (head honcho of Big Ting) to get down and play a set that we knew only he could.

The brief was, take us from where we are now to jungle please.

What we go was a glorious ride through UKG, Breaks, Techno, UK Bass, Footwork, 160 and some SLAMMING jungle.

What can I say? I want this track list, you will too so be sure to comment for ID's. Vibes were high from start to finish. Monako is fabulous and if you know what's good for you, get down to see this gorgeous man play.

Big love <3 <3

Cosmic Boogie.

Alright people, how are we??

In May we had the divine privilege of hosting Sydney's own party starter and super in demand DJ FLY WAVES join us to kick the party into second gear, and as you can hear from this mix, she did just that! Starting at funk and boogie, whirling her way through infectious edits and ending up in some bass heavy, high energy UKG, this mix delivers the vibes in Spades!

Peep the recording, comment for any track ID's. Keep an eye out for her around town, she's a dancefloor weapon <3

Big love!

** Tracklist below** Oi Oi, how we doing!? Time again for another Cosmic Boogie Radio show, this time on a more bass heavy tip. I've been experimenting with taking my 160-170bpm bass music tunes and pitching them down to 130bpm. The result is more cavernous bass, more space in the sound, and a new listening experience to some old gems. Tunes from DJ Rashad, Kode9, Deft, Om Unit, Fracture, Ital Tek, Coleco and more. I had a lot of fun putting this mix together, I hope you'll enjoy listening to it as much as I did making it! Sling us a comment if you're feeling it.
