Swerve Shows

One night, 2 belated Birthdays, a decommissioned train tunnel, incredible production and a giant disco ball honestly made for one of the best parties I've been to in a long time.

You may think me bias because I was Djing most of it but ask anyone who attended and they will tell you the same thing. Everything aligned perfectly for immaculate vibes the entire night.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to contribute 4 hours of music for the night with my long term, very good friend @gilsun and the outcome was magical. Truly a new core memory.

Unfortunately we were only able to salvage the last 1h45m of the set recording but it captures the high of the night perfectly.

A huge thank you to Sandra and Pat for putting this incredible event on, it won't be forgotten any time soon!

Had a mishap in the radio studio this week which meant the show didn't come out as planned. I've since re-recorded it in all its intended glory! Check it out here <3

Rubio (me) got down on June 3rd on duties to warm up to AHJU. Big eclectic tension building vibes throughout, slowly building the energy into a crescendo. This set was a real joy to play and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed playing it.

Keep your eyes peeled for AHJU's set in the next week <3

Next up in the series of recordings from the Cosmic Spill party at the beginning of June is a real energy booster. @toaka22 solo reppin' for the first hour and joined by @mondo1music for the second. Starting off warm and easy and building to serious heights 🙌

Get behind it and give the lads a little follow while you're at it 💕😎

Next up on the listen back from Cosmic Spill is @misterroarke! Laying down 2 hours of beautiful afternoon Deep house classics in the courtyard. The sun was shining, the vibes were high, and Roarke was letting it roll to warm the party in ❤️‍🔥

Gorgeous stuff!

Let me start with a HUGE thank you to everyone who made it down to our party on the weekend. This round was a collaboration with the lovely boys from Soul Spill records @soulspillrec, they played the first 5 hours of the party.

This is the first hour courtesy of Mondowun. Downtempo street soul and house to warm us in. Give the lad a follow @mondo1music, check the links on the page and hit him for track ID's 🙌

6 Years ago my good friend Tom Studdy and myself did an all night b2b at the now defunkt Play Bar. It was a big big night with big big vibes. I recently came across the recording and felt it fitting to release ahead of the 7h session I'll be doing down at Redfern Surf Club on the 5th of May. https://www.facebook.com/events/613933680635381/

When you've been in the game a while, you amass a serious quantity of recordings. Watch this space for more from the archive <3

To celebrate Farj has done a very special radio show for us from Eastside FM full of new and old incredible 4x4 UKG. It's a fabulous mix that includes a voiceover tracklist (for those playing along at home) and We can't wait to hear them do it live for us in the Lord Gladstone courtyard.

We've been away for a bit and we've missed you. Over the last few months since our soiree in January we've been asking ourselves, in which direction does this party shift. We've found an answer. Like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon, here is the kind of sounds you can expect to hear from start to finish at the 2023 Cosmic Boogie events <3 Mixed by Rubio this mix is a 2 hour trip across the world and through time.

Comment for track ID's and let us know if you're feeling it <3

In early September we were blessed to host Sofia Gonzalez for a 2h set in the main bar of The Lord Gladstone. It was a glorious ride through all the colours in the techno spectrum. Seamlessly rolling through sounds and textures, light and dark, dense and fluffy. It was a gorgeous set and we're thrilled to be able to share it with you here.

A Huge huge thankyou to Sofia for lending her skills to the party. It was one to remember.
