Around August of 2022, Adam opened up his email to find what was a message of profound encouragement, and could hardly believe it when it was addressed from "William Patrick Corgan," otherwise known as the frontman of Adam's first ever favorite band The Smashing Pumpkins. But that's exactly who it was. Billy had read Adam's 2021 book 'Communions' and, from there, a creative camaraderie developed.
Now, Billy is on SOS by SP and completing the circle. Here, the icon of rock discusses fatherhood, the experience of being at the zeitgeist only to watch the zeitgeist fracture and tether, the new Smashing Pumpkins album Atum and the podcast that Billy has used to launch each of its track in its three-part rock opera song cycle, Judas Priest, the Scorpions, attacking the castle from within, AND MORE!!

Old friend, colleague within the Counter-Agency of the Avant-Garde, and editor of Morbid Books Lev Parker stops by SOS by SP once more to discuss collaborating with Adam on the Morbid Books-published Safety Propaganda Manifesto for Conceptual Warfare. There is also much discussion about the absolute collapse of competence in the modern world, and the possibility that a Bezos emperorship might be the only thing that can make things work again. Finally, Lev talks about his collaborative musical and multimedia project with Saul from the Fat White Family: The Patheticist Manifesto.

Enlisting the incendiary voices of old friends Filthy Armenian, of Filthy Armenian's Adventures and the Back Wall, and Jack Mason, of the Perfume Nationalist, the conversation turns towards the formerly retired pop cultural trope that is the damaged blonde, once again alive and well!
Two of the most discussed cultural artifacts right now revive the damaged blonde to Promethean proportions!
First, we have Ryan Murphy's new Netflix series, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, in which Evan Peters the titular iconic cannibalistic serial killer. A disjointed and weird program, the show often feels like two diametrically opposed shows stacked on top of one another. One, a delightfully and almost comically extreme torture porn, and the other, a comically absurd and ridiculous BLM propaganda piece.
Next, we have filmmaker Andrew Dominik's Blonde, a visually sumptuous and undeniably extreme horror film masquerading as a biopic of Marilyn Monroe, played by the most beautiful actress alive Ana de Armas, and inarguably the greatest work of film art of this decade.

Adam speaks with American harsh noise master Worth, aka William Van Gorder, who has a new record on White Centipede Noise called Sacred Violence Noise. Will recorded the album while on residency in Thailand, and throughout the conversation relays the experiences he had there and in his Southeast Asia journey more broadly. What is it like to make noise for an audience that has no fucking clue what is happening? MAGIC! Duh. Talking about Thailand and Southeast Asia leads these two artists to discussion of another shared interest: writer New Juche. Juche is also an artist who finds transcendence in beauty in abjection and decay – the decay of the Southeast Asian landscape, and the abjection in his own perverse sexual habits.

In 1978, UK industrial and experimental music pioneers Nurse With Wound, then a collaborative effort between multiple musicians before Steven Stapleton would turn the project into his braintrust some years later, released its debut album Chance Meeting on a Dissecting Table of a Sewing Machine and an Umbrella. That record, the title of which references an excerpt of Comte de Lautréamont's Les Chants de Maldoror, is one of the primary influences on all that which would later be known as industrial, experimental, or noise music from that point on.
More important than the album, however, is its liner notes. What has become known as the Nurse With Wound list was printed in the liner notes of the record: a list of over 200 avant-garde and outsider artists and groups that were influential on the development of Nurse with Wound in particular but that also can be used to historicize the avant-garde tendency in music writ large. From ground zero avant-rock like the Velvets to obscure European Jazz like Thrice Mice to pioneers of avant-garde composition like Karlheinz Stockhausen, the NWW list opens the floodgates to a new method of engagement with sound.
In this episode, the boys invite Joey from the Easy Listening podcast to journey through the NWW list with all three of them finding three artists from it that appeal to their own sensibilities.
