What if salvation is actually about attachment?
“The only kind of love that helps the brain learn better character is attachment love. The brain functions that determine our character are most profoundly shaped by who we love. Changing character, as far as the brain is concerned, means attaching in new and better ways. Suppose we focused spiritual exercises, and human relationship exercises, less on changing our beliefs, or choices, and more on building attachment love with God and with people. Would that yield the kind of character transformation we yearn to find? The brain’s need for love-that-equals-attachment could explain why spiritual practices sometimes disappoint diligent Christians. A focus on attachment would have profound implications for our understanding of human character, fellowship, and spiritual formation.” — Jim Wilder, Renovated
Does your attachment connection to your caregivers really affect how you attach to God? Is it possible to have an unhealthy attachment to God? Tennison, Ginelle and friend of the podcast, Ally George, explore and discuss these questions and others. Join them as they dive into this idea of attachment and salvation, and the connection between them.

Joy is a relational experience that is the basis for spiritual experience, human bonding, healthy identity growth and good health generally. Joy is our normal state as biological beings.
Joy means relationship
We are creatures of Joy
Joy is our natural state
Joy creates our identity
Joy is the basis for bonding
Joy give us our strength
No one seeks treatment for joy reduction. No one complains to coworkers about too much joy in their lives. No one worries about loved ones who are just too joyful these days. The problem is that people who are failing to thrive, have issues and live in conflict and do not seem to know or remember that joy would be a natural and rewarding way to live. ~ Dr. Jim Wilder~
We find Joy in the faces of the people around us. The ability to sustain Joy is directly connected to the amount of Joy that is in our 'Joy Well' Join Tennison and Ginelle as they pick up their conversation about Joy. In this episode they will talk about the finding Joy on the faces of others and Appreciation.
