Tabor Church

Today we are going to explore Mark 7:5-13. Jesus confronts the Pharisees on their hypocritical words. "You honor me with your lips, but your hearts are far from me." That is what we'll talk about today.

Someone needs to hear this today...stop being so concerned about the end when life is lived today. We are going to take a look at Luke 21:8-11 and Jesus is going to talk about the "end times." Every generation has believed they are living in the end times. We are always looking for signs and then some "prophet" comes along and tells you things that are completely outside of God's Word and then we believe it. Stop it!

Today we are going to talk through John 16:25-33. Jesus is trying to speak plainly to the disciples and they, of course, say thank you, we finally understand and believe these words. Jesus says, "Do you finally believe?" I hear some sarcasm and you'll hear why today.

What is truth? Everyone has their own response to this question. Everyone thinks they have their own version of it as well. How can we really decipher what truth is? If we don't like the truth can we just announce that it is fake? So many questions about truth. I'll have some thoughts about it today.

Today we are going to hear some wisdom from Solomon. Ecclesiastes 5:1-3 is where we will be at today. Solomon in Ecclesiastes spends a lot of time asking if life is meaningless. But here is chapter 5 he switches to giving people some helpful understanding of approaching God. Are your ears open and mouth shut? Enjoy the episode.

To close out the week we are going to talk about conflict. Couple of things we need to know up front...conflict is inevitable. As long as we have people in community, there will always be conflict. Once we get that we can then say, how am I going to deal with it? That is what we'll talk about today.

Today is a little bit of a rant, but it is something that I also don't mind addressing. Sometimes you hear the things people say about God and the church, like they have spent years studying it. Here is the statement, "I don't have to go to church, my church is outside!" There is a bit of truth but a whole lot of wrong. Let's discuss.

Today we are going to look at 1 Corinthians 1:18-24. This section is titled The Wisdom of God. What does it mean to be wise? Is wisdom the same as intelligence? Christ crucified, will be an offense and nonsense to people around, but it is the wisdom of God.

We are going to ask some questions that you have probably never even considered. Is the word Coach ever used in scripture? Is Coaching in the Bible? Those sound like very similar questions but will have different answers. Enjoy!
