Today we are going to focus on Mark 1:35- Jesus goes away to pray. We have so much on our plate and our calendars are full...there is no time for rest. Our culture doesn't celebrate rest of any kind because it will make you look lazy and not useful. Rest and even Sabbath rest is going to take discipline.

Today we are going to talk about two Hebrew words that are related to Sabbath. They actually really well together. I will also address the question: Do we still have to observe sabbath since it was in the Old Testament? What else do you have to add to the discussion on Sabbath Rest?

You may not be familiar with the title of the song unless you know the artist...today we are talking about Bob Dylan and the song title is Rainy Day Women #12 and #30. Most people know this as the "Everybody must get stoned" song. Dylan says he has never written a drug, nor will he ever. So it must be about something different. I go into a bit of the background on this episode. Take a listen!

Today we have a song that you most likely are not familiar with from a band that you also may not be aware of Angels and Airwaves. The song is from 2006 and it is called A Little's Enough. Tom DeLonge explains the meaning behind this song and we will explore it even a bit further than a theory of God coming to be with us. Take a listen!

Today we are going back to 1980 with another punk band...The Clash. The song is called The Sound of Sinners and it was on the album Sandinista! The song has some perspective on natural disasters and it can cause you to have a little bit of a different focus. We are going to dig into the lyrics today and see what we can learn.

On Friday I mentioned that Johnny Cash covered the song we did...so I decided to pull out a Cash song. It is probably his most well known. I walk the line was released in 1956 and Johnny wrote it for his first wife, who he wanted to remain faithful to. Faithfulness is a tricky thing with human beings...so that's what we'll talk about today.

Today we are headed back to the 1990's. This would fit in with my favorite genre of music and one of the voices that would be a star of this era...Chris Cornell and Soundgarden. The song is called Rusty Cage from the 1991 release of BadMotorFinger. This is a song that I believe has some great spiritual connotations that are inferred and I don't think were intended by the Chris when he wrote it all down. What is your interpretation of the song?
