March 03Fishing Beyond the Algorithm w/ Larry Melton Jr. - Episode 134
This episode was a really fun, honest conversation with Larry Melton Jr.—one of the most genuine voices in fishing on YouTube. We covered a ton of ground, from fishing and growing a YouTube channel to bank fishing, being real with your audience, faith, cooking, family, and life beyond the camera.
Larry opens up about staying authentic in a world that rewards highlight reels, why fishing from the bank still matters, and how family and faith keep him grounded. Plenty of laughs, real talk, and insight for anglers, creators, and anyone trying to live honestly in what they do.

February 24Legend Pod - Fred Boom Boom Roumbanis - Episode 133
This episode was a special one. We sat down with Fred Roumbanis, a true West Coast legend and someone we’ve looked up to for a long time. Fred brought the laughs with some absolutely hilarious stories, but he also went deep—sharing hard-earned lessons from a lifetime in fishing and being honest and vulnerable about life off the water. From pro-level insight to real talk about family, pressure, and perspective, this conversation meant a lot to us. We were genuinely honored to have a hero of ours open up the way he did.

January 28 Pottery, Baking Bread, Fancy Tacos and Fishing with Dave Fish & Tips - Episode 130
In this episode, we sit down with Dave Fishtips—and this is exactly why we love talking to normal, good dudes like Dave. No ego, no hype, just a genuinely authentic, cool guy with great stories and a grounded outlook on life. The conversation flowed easy, the laughs came naturally, and by the end it felt like talking with an old friend.
What really surprised us? Dave’s life off the water. He’s a professional potter, runs trap lines, bakes his own bread, and somehow still finds time to appreciate a properly made fancy taco. This one’s a reminder that the most interesting people don’t always fit a mold—and that the best conversations come from real folks living real lives. Don’t miss this one.

About Tackle and Tacos - A Fishing Podcast

From the publisher's feed

We love fishing. We love tacos. That pretty much sums it up. We may not be the best anglers, but we may just be the best taco eaters on earth. Hosted by Nate, Lola and Jordan, we're gonna talk probably 75% fishing, 23% tacos and an undetermined amount of nonsense. One thing we can promise; this won't be just another fishing podcast, and we won't be anything but real. The show won't be edited, and we will indeed be having more fun than we should be allowed to!
