Thanks for watching! In this episode LRXD connected with Author and Yoga Nidra Teacher Tracee Stanley.
Tracee Stanley was introduced to the practice of yoga nidra in 2001. She immediately recognized it as a healing salve for the world and began to incorporate it into her life and her yoga teaching. She left her high-stress career as a Hollywood film producer to delve deeper into the study of the practices that were empowering and rejuvenating her, so she could share them with others.
With over 20 years as a teacher in the lineage of the Himalayan masters Tantra and Sri Vidya, Tracee also understands the demands of life as an entrepreneur, wife, and stepmom. Her effortless method of sharing ancient teachings in accessible ways is her superpower. She frequently travels and leads trainings and retreats. One of her favorite experiences was offering yoga and meditation on the most recent Oprah and Gayle’s Girls’ Getaway to the Bahamas.

In this episode LRXD connected with Media Executive and L.A. Artist Rick Robinson.
Originally from the small agricultural town of Lodi, CA, his Central Valley work ethic pushed him through junior college (where he worked, swing shift, in a steel mill) on to SF State University where he studied fine art and advertising. Primitive iconography coupled with a love of billboards and pop materials have driven Rick’s aesthetic sensibilities ever since.
In his own words
I have always been taken by shapes, icons and the power of color in public spaces. This instinct led me to a career in the OOH Media business and also that of a sculptor. This past election cycle it all came together – inspired by the abundance of fist stencils in Hollywood after the demonstrations last summer – and manifested into a national poster campaign in support of a non-profit driven to register voters.

In this episode LRXD connected with Denver Artist Adri Norris.
In her own words:
At an early age, I knew I wanted to be an artist. Throughout all my life changes, moving from Barbados to New York, to New Mexico, then joining the Marines, art was the one thing that persisted. I was raised to be a leader, to see myself as someone who could help people and improve lives.
It was only in the last few years that I figured out how I would do that. The Women Behaving Badly series was born out of a desire to educate people about women from the past. Their stories have been lost over time and this loss is a disservice to those women, to the women and girls living now and to society as a whole. Sharing these stories through my art inspires young girls with role models they’ve never seen before. These stories make adults think more about what they have and what they have yet to gain by listening to the voices of the unheard.
I feel as though I am at the beginning of my journey. My list of women numbers in the hundreds and I have barely scratched the surface. I intend to be in it for the long haul.
