Compassion is one of the features of Advaita Ācārya, and also this idea of servitude towards the Lord, where he declares, "caitanyera dāsa muñi, caitanyera dāsa," (CC Adi 6.86) that "I am a servant of Lord Caitanya. I'm the servant of Lord Caitanya. I'm the servant of Lord Caitanya. I am the servant of the servants." And this is the foundation for perfection in spiritual life—that is, to come to this position of being a servitor.

Fortunately, we have Chaitanya Mahāprabhu to worship in this mood of servitorship. And there's nobody better than Lord Caitanya. He's Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa combined. Kavirāja Gosvāmī said he's the Deity of the paramahaṁsas. So if we engage ourselves in His service and emulate the mood of Advaita Ācārya, which was showing compassion to the living entities in Kali Yuga, helping to spread the saṅkīrtana movement, then through that method given to us by Advaita Ācārya, we can attain the perfection of devotional service.
