It's the end of the road for Takeout Breakout, and what better way to send off the series than sharing the final episode on Mardi Gras! This finale has all of the fun segments you would expect from the gals, so listen in and reminisce on our favorite foodie memories.
New Years Eve invites the debate of all debates: a moment to ring in new opportunity, or most overhyped holiday of them all? To celebrate, the gals pick a theme that may belie the answer to that question: Meal for One (AKA saddest meal ever). To spice up this sadness, a very special guest is roped into the ordering process and joins us for the episode! Put your bells on and hum a little Auld Lang Syne for our last episode of 2020!
The gals celebrate Christmas with a little POP - pop culture! With an abundance of movies, TV shows, songs, musicals, and books oriented around the holiday season, what better gift than to honor our favorite Christmas moments in pop culture? Put on your Christmas crowns, hang those stockings, and guess if anyone will get a figgy pudding (whatever that is).
Season 3 is all about the holiday season, starting with an episode to truly feast on: Thanksgiving! The gals take the ordering experience up a notch with a convoluted assignment system and restaurants fit for a Thanksgiving dinner. Following along? Put on your turkey pants and feel thankful for this special season!
For our season finale, the gals just HAD to go on theme for the spookiest season of all: Halloween! The rules of the episode are looser than a skeleton's belt - as long as the food is deviously delicious, petrifyingly pun-worthy, or monstrously made, it counts!
Listen in to all of the great and terrible wordplay in an episode that works out surprisingly well for the gals. Plus, there's a special guest star you won't want to miss!
Maybe in honor of our favorite It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia character, maybe in honor of our wallets desperate for a cheap episode, the gals partake in a themed $20 WILDCARD episode! That's right, anything goes as long as the delivery bill is under $20.
This episode is packed with mystery, unveilings, debates about tipping, and so much more. Happy listening!
Are you also an American who fully conflates Japanese cuisine with sushi? Well, you're in (questionably) good company! The gals skip Japanese curries, ramens, udon dishes, and more in favor of classic sushi plates...all of them except one.
Listen in as the girls eat their way through unagi rolls, douse salmon nigiri in soy sauce, mix up hamachi with every other white fish, all as one of us bitterly eats their non-sushi dinner.
Join the gals as they dig into Chinese food - chopsticks optional!
Well, butter my biscuits! The gals attempt to order Southern cuisine specialties while located as far from the South as possible. This episode is full of twists and turns straight out of a Southern gothic story. How many of the gals will forget to order each other a meal? Does Cate know what Southern food actually is? Will Megan ever get a good meal delivered to her? Tune in to find out...
The ultimate match-up: CLOWNS vs ROLLER DERBY GIRLS! Wait...what? In this special episode, the gals pair off and order themed lunches. Team Clown to Business (Giselle and Cate) serve up some fair-ly absurd hotdogs, while Team Prior Offense (Megan and Emily) skate by with some late night munchies. It's a weird one, but we wouldn't have it any other way!
