In this episode I take a quick opportunity to discuss the importance of recording your sets. It is a valuable practice for developing your jokes, your stage presence, your persona, and to have for potential gigs in the future.

I had some shows with nobody in the audience, so shows were cancelled. It can be frustrating. It can cause you to question your direction. The thing is, it should make us hustle even more. Push hard. Don't give up. Ask the hard questions, but don't let empty seats cause you to quit.

Pursuing a dream is hard. It's risky. You need the right people around you to keep you grounded, yet encouraged. Comedy can be daunting, but if you have the right people around you, your dream of being a standup comedian (or anything else really) could be a reality. You might even need to hear someone say, "Yeah, that's a great dream, but it might not work for you." That's not being a hater or negative person, it might be someone saving you from burnout.

I hope this is an encouraging episode. Also, there is a bible reference, but it's not preachy.
