Dragonfly
Dragonfly, dragonfly,
has the summer really passed you by?
In the last of heat,
August greets,
the wonder
as you fly.
For above the lawn,
across her flowers,
beautiful nature sings,
in the colorful flight,
the afternoons linger,
upon your
delicate wings.
And as the day
draws to a close,
whispering,
in silent repose,
the wind reclines,
for your life, is divine
as summer bids
farewell.
For dragonfly, dragonfly,
she knows,
she knows.
