  • Talk AEW Podcast: Revolution 2021— Up in Smoke
    AEW Revolution Review
“The only thing they remember is the finish – Vincent Kennedy McMahon.”
AEW Revolution has come and gone and thankfully AEW’s first pay-per-view of 2021 was full of highlights and great matches including the Tag Team Championship match, the Women’s Championship match, and the tag team Battle Royale. The event also featured the AEW debut of Christian Cage and Ethan Page who joined Cody Rhodes, Penta El Zero Miedo, Max Caster, Lance Archer, and eventual winner Scorpio Sky in an action-packed six-man ladder bout! Oh, and let’s not forget the gorgeous cinematic street fight featuring Team Taz, Darby Allin, and Sting.
Yet despite these many highlights, the show is likely to be remembered for its lackluster post-main event angle, which was meant to put Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston in danger way via an exploding ring— but instead went off like lousy pyro.
In this episode of Talk AEW, we discuss the good, the bad, and everything the went wrong during AEW Revolution.  Joining us this week is guest, Chris Wright.

In our main event, we dissect the match between FTR and Tully Blanchard and Jurassic Express and whether AEW is setting up a storyline in which they form the next generation of the Four Horseman. And if they do, who could be the fourth man to join Shawn Spears, Dax Harwood, and Cash Wheeler.
    All this and more!

  • Talk AEW Podcast: What to Expect From the Big Show
    AEW Podcast
Plus, Heel vs. Heel and Face vs. Face
This week on the Talk AEW Podcast, we discuss the match between Dr. Brit Baker and Nyla Rose and the match between Lance Archer and Rey Fenix that took place on the most recent episode of Dynamite. The conversation sparks a debate on how to properly book a match between two heels and also a match between two baby faces.
In our main event, we bounce around some ideas on how AEW can use Paul White a.k.a. The Big Show and what we’d like to see him do in AEW. Along with Ricky’s rapid-fire questions, you can expect another jam-packed episode once again! Enjoy!

  • Talk AEW Podcast: A Who’s Who in the AEW Women’s Tournament plus the Rise of Lee Johnson
    AEW Podcast
This week Talk AEW takes a deep into the AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator Tournament. We break down each bracket and take a closer look at each competitor.
The winner of the tournament will become the new #1 contender to AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida, for a future title match, rumored for the 2021 Revolution pay-per-view on Sunday, March 7.
Did AEW make a mistake putting the Japanese matches only on YouTube? Does Dr. Brit Baker stand a chance in making it to the finals or will Thunder Rosa or Serena Deeb get in her way? And just who is Maki Itoh, and why is her Twitter account blowing up?
We answer all these questions as well as set aside some time to discuss the rise of Lee Johnson, who after picking up the win on Dynamite, finally signed a contract with AEW.
Joining us is guest Aaron Santos!

  • Talk AEW Podcast: Jungle Boy Swings Into the Main Event of our Valentine’s Day Special
This week on Talk AEW, Jungle Boy swings into our main event as we discuss his incredible match with Dax Harwood on a recent episode of Dynamite. Prepare yourself for a lovefest as we can’t stop praising Jack Perry who wowed fans with his in-ring talent, old-school mindset, and undeniable charm. We all knew Jungle Boy was going to be a huge star for AEW, but we didn’t expect the company to push him into single competition this soon.
Before all that, we set aside some time to fantasize about which AEW wrestlers we would want to take out on a date for Valentine’s Day and decide what we would want to do and where we would want to go. All that and more!

  • Who Should Compete for a Trios Tag Team Championship
This week on Talk AEW, we discuss the ups and downs of many of the storylines seen on Dynamite and pitch some ideas that we hope AEW will one day incorporate. In our main event, we discuss who we would want to see team up in a trio’s tag team division and why Darby Allin might be the top talent in the AEW locker room. Before all that, however, we vent about our frustration with Jade Cargill and the ongoing feud between Miro and the Best Friends.

  • Talk AEW Podcast: The Best AEW Storylines and New Year’s Smash Night 2
    AEW Podcast
This week on Talk AEW, the show starts with a discussion of the latest episode of Dynamite; New Year’s Smash Part 2. In our review, we debate if the Darby Allin vs. Brian Cage match is better than the Rey Fenix vs. Kenny Omega match from the week before and whether Marko Stunt deserves to be booked against a tag team as respected, loved, and accomplished as FTR. We also try to make sense of the latest installment of Brit Baker’s The Waiting Room as well as understand how Jade Cargill fits into AEW. There’s a lot to dissect this week including the ongoing feud between Miro and Best Friends and the Inner Circle’s new year’s resolutions. In the main event, each host chooses what they think is the best storyline in AEW since the promotion debuted in 2019 and come to a collective agreement on the two worst. All this and more.

  • Talk AEW Podcast: Best AEW Theme Songs
AEW Podcast: What are the Best AEW Theme Songs?
A wrestler’s entrance is a big deal since it helps them completely captivate an audience, even before they step in the ring. And the theme music to accompany their entrance is just as important since it helps establish a mood and reveals something about the wrestler’s persona.
All Elite Wrestling has done a superb job of producing some great theme songs for their talent, but since the company doesn’t get enough recognition for their hard work, we decided to set aside some time and discuss our favoruite AEW Theme songs this week.
In our main event, we discuss our disappointment with the recent episode of AEW Dynamite, the first of a two-part special titled New Year’s Smash. We discuss the sudden appearance of the Good Brothers; the messy match between Cody Rhodes and Matt Sydal; the ongoing feud between Miro and Best Friends; the problem with too many factions, and the awful match between Abadon and Hikura Shida for the Women’s Championship.

  • Talk AEW Podcast: The Brodie Lee / Jon Huber Tribute and our 2021 Predictions
The last episode of AEW Dynamite that aired in 2020 is also the best episode of the year. Originally intended to be part of AEW’s two-week New Year’s celebration, Tony Kahn opted to change plans last minute and turn it into a loving tribute for Mr. Brodie Lee, real name Jon Huber, who tragically died on December 26, 2020.
Huber’s death brought with it an outpouring of grief and a celebration of his life throughout the wrestling industry and AEW did everything they could to honor his legacy with matches featuring his friends and contemporaries. Not only did the card honor Huber himself, but also his wife, Amanda, and two children, Brodie and Nolan, as well as members of Huber’s Dark Order stable up.
This week on Talk AEW, we discuss the recent episode of Dynamite, the career of Brodie Lee, and towards the end of the show, we offer our crazy 2021 predictions. All this and more!
Listen to the show on Podbean, iTunes, YouTube, Spotify, Deezer, ListenNotes, iHeart Radio, and Pandora.
