In this milestone episode of Talk Dodgers to Me, we're taking a moment at the top to reflect on what hitting 100 means to us. What started as a way for Melissa to find connection through grief has turned into something so much bigger. This Dodger community not only embraced the show, but also brought Jaclyn and Melissa together, adding a new voice to the podcast and deepening what it has become. We truly feel that support with every episode we put out.
The Dodgers may have dropped the series to the Giants, but we had standout pitching performances by Yamamoto, Ohtani and Glasnow, now we're waiting for everyone expect Max Muncy's bat to wake up.Now, it's back home to face the Cubs, and yes, we have thoughts, including his comments about us, Dodger fans.
As always, thank you for being a part of this with us. From episode 1 to 100, this community means everything to us, because at the end of the day, it's always more than baseball.
Melissa and Jaclyn are on zoom today talking about the Rockies series, which was a bit rocky. Our bats were hot on the coldest game for the Dodgers, and ended the same. And no so much in between. Muncy had two multi-homer games, Rushing is heating up, Shohei climbs the Dodger leaderboard with a 53 game on base streak. We also had some tough pitching outings and big news about Edwin Diaz going to the IL. We were trying to do a quick post-game recap but your girls love to chat. And what's more fun to talk about than the Dodgers?!Let us know your thoughts on the series and what you want to hear on our 100th episode!!
The Dodgers take the series against the Rangers and we’re breaking it ALL down. Even with a tough final game, this series had everything - Max Muncy going absolutely OFF with three home runs in Game 1, including a walk-off moment that had us screaming, and Shohei Ohtani reminding everyone who he is with a first-pitch homer off one of the best pitchers in the league, Jacob Degrom. We also talk about Roki Sasaki and his early struggles, what it means moving forward, and why we’re still feeling confident with this team sitting at the best record in baseball. Plus, we’re giving you a little behind-the-scenes of Talk Dodgers To Me—what’s changing this season, how we’re planning to drop episodes weekly (based on the Dodgers schedule), and why we’re so excited to bring you even more content.Next up: the Mets… and you already know we have thoughts!#dodgers #serieswin #dodgerstadium #dodgersnation #baseball #baseballpodcast
The Dodgers return to Toronto to face the Blue Jays and upset their fans again with a series win for LA. Our bats are heating up, and the energy is starting to feel like that team again. Kim steps in for Mookie, Alex Freeland is heating up, Dalton Rushing has the best game of his career and we have the best record in the NL.
We talk about the emotional side of the game as news of Miggy losing his dad had us all in our feels and we're sending him and his family all our love.
Off the field, life is life-ing—Jaclyn is finally back after being sick, Melissa shares about her mom being in town, and we’re soaking in all of it as the Dodgers head home to face the Rangers and Mets next.
Happy Opening Week of baseball! We kicked things off at Benny Boy Brewing before heading into Dodger Stadium and from the moment we walked in, you could feel it, this season is different.
In this episode, we take you through Opening Day as we got to cheer on our boys for the first time since winning back-to-back World Series. From the energy in the stadium to the love from Dodger fans (some tears were shed), it was one of those full-circle moments we’ll never forget.
The next day? Even more special. Jaclyn tells Melissa all about being at that game watching Clayton Kershaw and our team receive their rings. And, Edwin Diaz's debut, of course.
We also break down how the team is looking early on and what’s standing out as we start the season undefeated.
Dodger fans, if this is how it's starting, we’re in for something special!
We sat down with Dodgers legend Adrián González at his restaurants, Slizeria and 323 in West LA, for one of our favorite conversations yet.
From pizza and tacos to Dodger baseball, we talk about everything — including his role in the transition from the McCourt era to the Guggenheim group, and what it’s been like watching the Dodgers evolve into what they are today.
We get his honest take on the Dodgers chasing a three-peat, what makes Dodger fans different, how he feels about "the Dodgers ruining baseball", being a girl dad, life after baseball and becoming a restauranteur. This episode is fun, honest, and full of insight from someone who helped shape this era of Dodger baseball.
If you could only smell the pizza and tacos through the camera! Make sure to check out Slizeria and 323 on the corner of Sawtelle and Olympic - we can honestly say that food knocks it out of the ballpark!
Melissa and Jaclyn are feeling extra giggly as they catch up on all things baseball and life. From the excitement of spring training and the new ABS challenge system to Kiké Hernández becoming a dad and Puerto Rican players bringing the blonde hair energy to the field, the girls cover it all. They also talk about Clayton Kershaw joining Team USA for the World Baseball Classic, Jaclyn heading back to Texas, and Melissa reflecting on the moment she booked a one-way flight to Los Angeles. One thing is clear: even after back-to-back World Series wins, the Dodgers look hungrier than ever to chase a three-peat.
This week, Melissa and Jaclyn are getting into the Valentine's Day spirit. We're sharing what Valentine's Day means to us and the loved ones in our lives. We also share our thoughts on the superbowl, or better known to us as the Benito Bowl. And of course, we're diving into all things Dodger baseball, what's been happening in Dodgerland and across baseball. Let us know your favorite Valentine's Day memories in the comments. And of course in Talk Dodgers to Me timing, Kike Hernandez just signed back with the Dodgers!! yay!
This episode of Talk Dodgers to Me is a little different — and I’m extremely proud to be sharing it with you.
I’m joined by Ericka Claudio, the first Black woman to create a Super PAC centered on body autonomy. When I first met Ericka, what I thought would be a short conversation ended up opening my eyes in a big way. I learned so much so quickly, and I honestly walked away thinking: if I didn’t know this, there have to be so many others who don’t either.
With everything happening in our country right now, it’s easy to feel scared, overwhelmed, or even hopeless at times. What Ericka is building reminded me how powerful it is to lead with values — and how real change starts when we invest in people and platforms that reflect those values, especially in moments when we feel divided.
And as unexpected as it may seem, this conversation fits perfectly here. Because baseball, and sports in general, have always been about values. Community. Fairness. Belonging. Showing up for something bigger than yourself. That’s why this episode really leans into the heart of this show and why Talk Dodgers to Me has always been about more than baseball. Sports bring us together, and this conversation is a reminder of just how important that is right now.

Today we take a walk down memory lane, reliving the Dodger moments that made us fall in love with the team, and shaped who we are as fans. And Dodger fans, we haven't always had an ownership group that was as willing to spend and be competitive as they are today, so let's enjoy this golden era as much as we can!And in a time when so much feels divided, sports continues to be the one place that brings people together, and for us, baseball is that common ground. This episode is a reminder that it’s always been more than wins and losses… it’s about connection, memories, and the joy of sharing something we all love.
