The name of Jesus is the most powerful name there is. God gave Jesus the "name that is above every name" (Philippians 2:9). Why is this name so powerful? It is because of the sacrifice He made—through living a perfect life, dying a sinner's death, and being resurrected. Jesus made a way for all of humanity to be saved and made right with God: "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13; cf. Acts 4:12). The literal name "Jesus" is not inherently powerful; it is powerful because of Jesus Christ, the person, God incarnate, who made a way for our salvation. Most people aren’t too concerned about taxes (even though we don’t like them). However, death is something that we all face with some anxiety. What happens to us when we die? Do you wonder what comes next? Will you exist at all? Is there a Heaven and a Hell? Many people believe in Heaven and Hell, and most people expect they will go to Heaven when they die. We usually think of a missionary as a person who leaves home and goes to a foreign land to bring the Good News of Christianity to those who live there. Well, we have some good news for you – you can be a missionary wherever you are!
Being a missionary means a couple of things. One, we are on a mission in life. “We are born in the image and likeness of God and so we are reflections of God in the world.
